The Best Worst Movies

by lmaocarrots | created - 21 Aug 2011 | updated - 14 Apr 2012 | Public

I have recently started watching terrible movies on purpose, and what else can I say, it's incredible. I watch many, many serious movies and sometimes I want something more comedic, but most comedies fail to be great, and the perfect resolution is to watch crap. Whether it's terrible acting, awful writing, editing thats all over the place or a mixture of all, the movies on this list have made me laugh more than 95% of comedies that I've seen. (I know some of the most famous aren't here, but these are just the ones I've seen so far) Ones I Still plan to Watch 1. Manos: The Hands of Fate 2. Santa Claus Conquers the Martians 3. Leonard Part 6 4. Samurai Cop 5. Everything else by Ed Wood

Director: Tommy Wiseau | Stars: Tommy Wiseau, Greg Sestero, Juliette Danielle, Philip Haldiman

Votes: 45,501 | Gross: $0.00M

In my opinion, this is the Citizen Kane of bad movies. I have seen it 11 times, and since the first, I haven't gone a day of my life without quoting it. It is seriously the most quotable movie ever made, and the absolute most I've ever laughed at a movie. If you haven't seen it, watch it, it costs $10.00 on Amazon, and it'll be the greatest investment you'll ever make.

A family vacationing in a small town discovers the entire town is inhabited by goblins in disguise as humans, who plan to eat them.

Director: Claudio Fragasso | Stars: Michael Paul Stephenson, George Hardy, Margo Prey, Connie Young

This movie is hillarious. The plot is ridiculous, and it is home to some of the worst scenes in movie history. The pure fact at how oblivious the family is to the green food is hilarious. Awful acting, terrible ending, and crappy special effects make this an essential bad movie viewing.

Aliens resurrect dead humans as zombies and vampires to stop humanity from creating the Solaranite (a sort of sun-driven bomb).

Director: Edward D. Wood Jr. | Stars: Gregory Walcott, Tom Keene, Mona McKinnon, Duke Moore

Votes: 31,653

Day turning to night and back again in one scene, reuse of the same clips over and over, noticeable strings on the UFOs, and the recasting of one of the main bad guys, all of these make this one of the worst movies ever made. Ed Wood is known for making bad movies, and this is widely known as his worst, with good reason. You gotta see this.

This is a little known bad movie, and that is a shame because it's one of the worst. This movie had me laughing all the way through. This is undeniably Nicolas Cage's worst role, he spends half the movie having a seizure and the other half being incoherent. The plot also makes absolutely no sense, and the twist ending only makes it worse. Watch this and you wont regret it.

In Santa's fortress in outer space, Mexican Santa prepares to ride his robot reindeer to Earth to deliver presents, but little does he know Satan is out to stop him. If any movie gets the story of Christmas wrong this is it. You'll laugh throughout and wont regret watching this one.

Director: Roger Christian | Stars: John Travolta, Forest Whitaker, Barry Pepper, Kim Coates

Votes: 68,555 | Gross: $21.47M

A ridiculous plot backed with a mid-high budget couldn't have gone over worse. The action is not followable, the characters actions have no causes, and the story, well there isn't one here. This is the definition of bad high budget movies and you must see it.

Director: Arthur Allan Seidelman | Stars: Arnold Stang, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Deborah Loomis, James Karen

In the version i saw they dubbed over Arnold and that made it even funnier. The character Pretzy should have become iconic, the bear fight is epic, and the chariot scene should be ranked among the best (worst). This movie is a riot.

Director: James Nguyen | Stars: Alan Bagh, Whitney Moore, Tippi Hedren, Janae Caster

Probably the worst movie ever made, but it's only funny upon the first viewing. No way was this taken seriously in the end, but if it was, I have lost hope i humanity.

Unlike the others which were serious movies that failed, this is a comedy that failed. You'll laugh, but not with the characters, absolutely awful.

Director: Nathan Juran | Stars: Allison Hayes, William Hudson, Yvette Vickers, Roy Gordon

Other than the special effects, nothing is too too bad about this. But it has certain moments that make it worth the watch.

Director: Michael Rae | Stars: Kim Milford, Cheryl Smith, Gianni Russo, Ron Masak

Perhaps the most anti climatic movie ever made. I am convinced that these guys had a bunch of pyrotechnics and decided to make a movie. You wont laugh too at this as much as the others, but you will feel like you missed 20 minutes because it is so empty and content less. And you will be able to look back and laugh at how awful it all was.

14. Cool as Ice (1991)

Not as bad as they say, but they say some pretty harsh things and this is still dreadful. The portion of the movie before the kidnapping plot is added is hilarious, but after that point the laugh become few and far between.
