I have to say that this movie is one that surpassed all of its predecessors, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. I expected much from this movie and true enough, all my expectations were blown away. There are events that are a little predictable but how those events are exhibited are full of surprises. There was never a dull moment in this movie. I was at the edge of my seat from start to finish. This movie doesn't only deal with the physical aspect of the story but it also targets the emotional aspect of not only the story but the viewers as well. This is what this movie is all about. It deals with pain as Christopher Nolan describes it. The cast and acting were outstanding. I can't think of other actors who can portray the characters better than all the actors in the film. Who would do better than Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Anne Hathaway, and Morgan Freeman? They all did well. Most of all, the mind of this movie Christopher Nolan did the greatest job a director could ever have done. This movie is a Christopher Nolan masterpiece and I can't think of any other movie as good as this one in its genre.

Majority of the movie writers focus on keeping the excitement and intensity of a movie to the extent of altering majority of the scientific facts which may annoy someone whose expertise is the subject of alteration. This movie is an exception. As someone who has a medical background I am very impressed at how this movie went about with the plot while maintaining the scientific aspects of the story as accurate as possible. The intensity was also high it kept me at the edge of my seat from start to finish. I have to give a thumbs up for this movie for its accuracy and great climax.

After watching this movie, a friend of mine commented that it was kind of boring as the pace was so slow and there were less conversations and less action. Well, that was his impression. He was a bit surprised when I told him that I really liked this movie. The slow pace, the less conversations, is exactly what this movie is all about. I believe that this movie focuses on the aspect of one man's silence, inner thoughts, and conflicts as he tries to cope up with his social responsibility. The main character didn't talk too much because his actions spoke for himself which were interpreted well by the other characters in the movie. What is so good about this movie is that it is able to communicate its story to the viewers even with less words. It was so generous enough as to provide attention to one of the misunderstood means of communication: silence. The story line was good. The cinematography was great. The characters were so perfect. Ryan Gosling proved once more that he is his generation's greatest performer. Kudos to director Nicolas Winding Refn for doing a great job.
