this film does the original justice , it shares the same elements but still does it all refreshingly ! Plus had the sickest movie ending everrr .

“ Now I do love 70's set films , slashers&teen aimed films from the 80's ! Followed by the decade I was pretty much born in , I'm all about & heavily fascinated by the 90's & it's films , fads , clothing etc.

This film is almost like MALLRATS&BREAKFAST CLUB combined .
it's so funny & just really a joy to watch and to see these actors before they kicked off high in the film industry .

the ending on the roof is bitchin' ^_^

it always felt like I was literally in Fantasia as schizophrenic as it sounds haha .

And awkwardly even to this day find the young hero Atreyu rather androgynous & that Falcor looks like a flying dog instead of a dragon.

“ When this was in pre-production with the tag-line : " it's Alice In Wonderland with Machine Guns " . Man was I intrigued to see it , time after time the more cast info I heard , I had more anticipation .

Seeing the final result , as much as I love the visuals and the 5 girls with mostly rather unusual names like the raven haired Vanessa Hudgens as 'Blondie' . all the 3(reality , brothel & the battle alternate) scenarios just didn't click with me.

Despite that though this film was indeed excellent and so far my #1 fav. Zack Snyder film along with WATCHMEN&DAWN OF THE DEAD ” - dallasalexander17

I'm a huge Malcolm McDowell fan , he's so believable and always delivers a tremendous performance no matter what film and how much screen time he's given .

This film is slow paced but as long as your into it and watch it again&again then it's suited for you ,this film is funny, crazy , disturbing &mysterious overall . ” - dallasalexander17

“ 1 thing I admire about Steven SpeilBerg & some other filmakers is that they expand on the type of films they make , like Steven's highly known for sci-fi and action but he's also done drama and maybe comedy too ,I don't know but still he expands though haha .

this is just a masterpiece & great great performances from the child actors and even Dee Wallace at that .
