1. Win Win (2011)
R | 106 min | Comedy, Drama, Sport
A struggling lawyer and volunteer wrestling coach's chicanery comes back to haunt him when the teenage grandson of the client he has double-crossed comes into his life.
Votes: 50,288 | Gross: $10.18M
This movie is a real winner, it was sweet and funny. This reminds me of last year's indie family drama/comedy "The Kids are Alright". Paul Giamatti and Amy Ryan are exceptional as always, and the new comer Alex Shaffer as Kyle didn't have problem working with two veterans on screen at all. Great film sometimes doesn't need great budget for actors or special effects, it just needs to be honest and with heart, Win Win is a perfect example of it.
2. Drive (I) (2011)
R | 100 min | Crime, Drama
A mysterious Hollywood stuntman and mechanic moonlights as a getaway driver and finds himself in trouble when he helps out his neighbor.
Votes: 479,744 | Gross: $35.06M
The best thriller film of the year. Another Oscar-worthy performance by Ryan Gosling.
3. The Beaver (2011)
PG-13 | 91 min | Drama
A troubled husband and executive adopts a beaver hand-puppet as his sole means of communication.
Votes: 42,942 | Gross: $0.97M
This light family drama is very touching and Mel Gibson's performance is the best I've seen this year so far..The supporting cast is superb too, Anton Yelchin, Jennifer Lawrence, and the all-time best actress Jodie Foster (who also directed the film) made The Beaver a front-runner for next year's Oscars, hopefully.
4. Midnight in Paris (2011)
PG-13 | 94 min | Comedy, Fantasy, Romance
While on a trip to Paris with his fiancée's family, a nostalgic screenwriter finds himself mysteriously going back to the 1920s everyday at midnight.
Votes: 331,525 | Gross: $56.82M
Woody Allen made "Midnight in Paris" easily predictable once you're halfway through it, but its predictability is like watching the movie all over again though it is your first time seeing it..One of this year's best films..
5. Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011)
PG-13 | 132 min | Action, Adventure, Thriller

Votes: 566,445 | Gross: $146.41M
Matthew Vaughn breathed life to these famous and not-so-famous breeds of mutants and the result is the "Best summer film of the year". The directing and the acting were really outstanding, special mention to performances of Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Kevin Bacon.
7. Source Code (2011)
PG-13 | 93 min | Mystery, Romance, Sci-Fi
A soldier wakes up in someone else's body and discovers he's part of an experimental government program to find the bomber of a commuter train. A mission he has only 8 minutes to complete.
Votes: 419,700 | Gross: $54.71M
Source Code is a complete nostalgia. The recurring events in the film will keep you at the edge of your seat. With a little mix of everything, drama, sci-fi, thriller and romance, Sour Code is worth repeating, repeating and repeating, and that's even without making you feel nauseated.
8. 50/50 (2011)
R | 100 min | Comedy, Drama, Romance
Inspired by a true story, a comedy centered on a 27-year-old guy who learns of his cancer diagnosis, and his subsequent struggle to beat the disease.
Votes: 287,451 | Gross: $35.01M
The odds of loving the film 50/50 is 95/5. Funny and moving. Joseph Gordon-Levitt just transformed to one of the best actors of his generation and I can feel an Oscar nod already for him..50/50 is a 100% worthy of your time.
