The show goes a little haywire in Season 3 and 4 in my opinion, obviously mixed with great episodes but the over arching "big bad" story was of a strangely low standard. However in it's third series, a mini series called Children of the Earth consisting of 5 episodes all following the same story are of a different calibre to the first 2 series. Amazingly dark and devoid of the show's usual humour, which isn't always a bad thing, it's a true dark sci-fi tragedy filled with conspiracy and deception. And it's upcoming 4th series is being shaped by some very talented people, but the usual "America puts money in and now the show must be in America, be changed to be more accessible by America and shown in America first" is really annoying me. ” - Lyco499
