1. Supernatural (2005– )
TV-14 | 44 min | Drama, Fantasy, Horror
Two brothers follow their father's footsteps as "hunters", fighting evil supernatural beings of many kinds, including monsters, demons, and gods that roam the earth.
Great storyline, really exciting, really funny and one of the hottest guys in television (:
2. Criminal Minds (2005– )
TV-14 | 42 min | Crime, Drama, Mystery
The cases of the F.B.I. Behavioral Analysis Unit (B.A.U.), an elite group of profilers who analyze the nation's most dangerous serial killers and individual heinous crimes in an effort to anticipate their next moves before they strike again.
I think this is why I always doublecheck my locks and hate dark alleyways...
3. Glee (2009–2015)
TV-PG | 44 min | Comedy, Drama, Music
A group of ambitious misfits try to escape the harsh realities of high school by joining a glee club, where they find strength, acceptance and, ultimately, their voice, while working to pursue dreams of their own.
Always makes me laugh or cry. Funny show and really nice covers sometimes!
4. Robin Hood (2006–2009)
60 min | Action, Adventure, Comedy
After 5 years of fighting in the crusades, Robin returns to England and leads a band of outlaws to outwit the Sheriff of Nottingham.
Love this show so much. Have watched it so many times. The characters are great and funny and the action is nice as well :D
5. Leverage (2008–2012)
TV-PG | 42 min | Crime, Mystery, Thriller
A crew of high-tech crooks attempt to steal from wealthy criminals and corrupt businessmen.
I have a thing for Robin Hood like people. This is Robin Hood in moderntime. Some really great cases with great plans. Like the team chemistry as well. And Mr. Kane, of course.
6. Dexter (2006–2013)
TV-MA | 53 min | Crime, Drama, Mystery
By day, mild-mannered Dexter is a blood-spatter analyst for the Miami police. But at night, he is a serial killer who only targets other murderers.
Funny how a serial killer can get your sympathy. Kind of suspicious that Dex is almost never suspected of anything and always gets away with everything, but it's still interesting to watch.
7. 3rd Rock from the Sun (1996–2001)
TV-PG | 60 min | Comedy, Family, Sci-Fi
A group of aliens are sent to Earth, disguised as a human family, to experience and report life on the 3rd planet from the sun.
Hi-la-ri-ous. One of the most funny tv shows I have ever seen. A bunch of aliens come to earth and pretend to be human? The misunderstandings and the clumsiness are just hilarious. Oh. And I love JGL.
8. MI-5 (2002–2011)
60 min | Drama, Thriller
The missions of MI-5, the UK's domestic intelligence organization.
After 9 series it is still mindblowing. It's pretty realistic, not everybody survives and it's extremely thrilling. It's like 24, only much, much better, much more exciting and a lot more believable.
9. Silent Witness (1996– )
120 min | Crime, Drama, Mystery
Crimes through the eyes of a team of forensic pathologists and forensic scientists.
Great storylines sometimes, really capturing. I like the new team, Nikki, Harry and Leo. They have great chemistry and I love the way Nikki and Harry interact with each other.
10. Sherlock (2010– )
TV-14 | 88 min | Crime, Drama, Mystery
A modern update finds the famous sleuth and his doctor partner solving crime in 21st century London.
I love BBC stuff. It's always made with such detail and integrity. This one is also great. A modernday adaptation of Sherlock Holmes in which Sherlock is a very annoying, but endearing, slightly sociopathical 'consulting detective'. Really funny.
11. City Homicide (2007–2011)
60 min | Crime, Drama, Mystery
Set on the Homicide floor of a police headquarters in Melbourne, Australia, detectives work to bring justice for the deceased.
It's Australian. I like Australian stuff. Apart from that, it's a nice detectiveshow, with a great cast and sometimes some pretty intense episodes.
12. Merlin (2008–2012)
45 min | Adventure, Drama, Fantasy
These are the brand new adventures of Merlin, the legendary sorcerer as a young man, when he was just a servant to young Prince Arthur on the royal court of Camelot, who has soon become his best friend, and turned Arthur into a great king and a legend.
It's getting weirder and weirder, but I like the BBC and I like the Merlin/Arthur chemistry.
13. One Tree Hill (2003–2012)
TV-14 | 60 min | Drama, Romance, Sport
Half-brothers Lucas and Nathan Scott trade between kinship and rivalry both on the basketball court and in the hearts of their friends in the small, but not so quiet town of Tree Hill, North Carolina.
Just recently started watching this and even though it's not really my thing, I kinda like it.
14. I'm in the Band (2009–2011)
TV-Y7 | 30 min | Comedy, Family, Music
A teenager becomes lead guitarist for his favorite washed up rock band trying to make a comeback. They let him be lead guitarist in exchange for letting them live in his house in the suburbs.
Yes, my sense of humour is flawed, but I absolutely love this. It's hilarious.
15. Crossing Jordan (2001–2007)
60 min | Crime, Drama, Mystery
A "sexy, brilliant" Boston medical examiner. Despite a checkered career, Dr. Jordan Cavanaugh goes above and beyond to solve cases.
A tad... well... unrealistic, but almost every show is.
16. Lost (2004–2010)
TV-14 | 44 min | Adventure, Drama, Fantasy
The survivors of a plane crash are forced to work together in order to survive on a seemingly deserted tropical island.
True fan to the end. This was just an amazing show. Who cares if half of the plotline didn't end up anywhere or just didn't make any sense? It was good for 6 seasons of entertainment.
17. Being Human (2008–2013)
60 min | Comedy, Drama, Fantasy
A werewolf, a vampire, and a ghost try to live together and get along.
The BBC version, I might add. Very good series, about a vampire, wolf and ghost living together. A lot of drama, but also a lot of comedy.
18. Doctor Who (2005– )
TV-PG | 45 min | Adventure, Drama, Family
The further adventures of the time travelling alien adventurer known as the Doctor, a Time Lord/Lady who can change appearance and gender, and his/her companions.
Aaah. I just love the Doctor. Who doesnt?
19. The IT Crowd (2006–2013)
TV-14 | 25 min | Comedy
The comedic adventures of a rag-tag group of technical support workers at a large corporation.
Sooo bloody funny. English, ey?
20. Inspector George Gently (2007– )
89 min | Crime, Drama, Mystery
With the help of DS John Bacchus, Inspector George Gently spends his days bringing to justice members of the criminal underworld who are unfortunate enough to have the intrepid investigator assigned to their cases.
Detective show set in the 60s, about an old detective and an old rookie. Dynamic duo.
21. NCIS (2003– )
TV-14 | 60 min | Action, Comedy, Crime
The cases of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service's Washington DC Major Case Response Team, led by Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs.
The characters are cooler than the show itself. I just love Gibbs. And Tiva, of course.
22. The Dukes of Hazzard (1979–1985)
PG | 60 min | Action, Comedy
The adventures of the fast-drivin', rubber-burnin' Duke boys of Hazzard County.
An old show, but so much fun to watch. Plus, I like a nice car.
23. House M.D. (2004–2012)
TV-14 | 44 min | Drama, Mystery
An antisocial maverick doctor who specializes in diagnostic medicine does whatever it takes to solve puzzling cases that come his way using his crack team of doctors and his wits.
Hugh Laurie is amazing. Period.
24. Wallander (2008– )
TV-PG | 90 min | Crime, Drama, Mystery
A TV program centered on a soul-searching Swedish cop.
As good as the Swedish one. Maybe even better!
25. Ghost Whisperer (2005–2010)
TV-PG | 60 min | Drama, Fantasy
A newlywed with the ability to communicate with the earthbound spirits of the recently deceased overcomes skepticism and doubt to help send their important messages to the living and allow the dead to pass on to the other side.
Even though every episode was the same, I always enjoyed it a lot.
26. Entourage (2004–2011)
TV-MA | 28 min | Comedy, Drama
Film star Vince Chase navigates the vapid terrain of Los Angeles with a close circle of friends and his trusty agent.
One of the only comedyshows I like. I love the characters and it generally makes me laugh out loud sometimes.
27. Jericho (2006–2008)
TV-14 | 45 min | Action, Drama, Mystery
A small town in Kansas is literally left in the dark after seeing a mushroom cloud over near-by Denver, Colorado. The townspeople struggle to find answers about the blast and solutions on how to survive.
Too bad they kind of cancelled it. I really enjoyed it. It was kind of mysterious and disasterous, but the ending was slightly disappointing.
28. Moonlight (2007–2008)
60 min | Drama, Fantasy, Horror
A vampire lands work as a private investigator and falls for a mortal woman.
Too bad they never made a second season. Really loved it. Alex is great as Mick (:
29. The Vampire Diaries (2009–2017)
TV-14 | 43 min | Drama, Fantasy, Horror
A young teen struggles to make a decision between two vampire brothers and their supernatural lives. Soon after she discovers the truth her whole world turns upside down.
I like the books better, but the series is also good :)
30. Top Gear (2002– )
TV-PG | 60 min | Comedy, Talk-Show
The hosts talk about everything car-related. From new cars to how they're fueled, this show has it all.
These guys are hilarious, just plain hilarious. Who cares about what car they drive, as long as they're funny!
31. A Touch of Frost (1992– )
105 min | Crime, Drama, Mystery
DI Jack Frost is an unconventional policeman with sympathy for the underdog and an instinct for moral justice. Sloppy, disorganized and disrespectful, he attracts trouble like a magnet.
I love Mr Frost. Such a grumpy detective, but a good one (:
