So, last David Fincher directed some dark movies, he also directed one of my favorite movies of all-time "The Social Network" and when I heard he was directing this I was really excited. So lets nock this off the back I LOVE THIS MOVIE! The acting is incredible. Rooney Mara 100% needs to win Best Actress this year. She is so devoted to doing a good job that she hired a voice coach to help her speak with a Swedish accent. Daniel Craig is excellent! The chemistry between them is perfect! The cinematography is mind-blowing. The chemistry between Craig and Mara is amazing and believable! Everything sounds believable! The characters are likable, even if they are bad people! The direction from David Fincher is amazing and will snag him a Best Director nomination this and hopefully a big win! This is Oscar caliber acting! This is the best of the year! This isn't a children's/family movie by any means. But if you like movies if you are a cinephile you need to see this film! ” - spikee5697

Coming from a person who has a family member with Cancer this movie really portrays the reactions of the person with the disease and his friends and family 100% accurate. This is Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogan's best performances ever! They both deserve Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor nominations this year and if there is no one better they should both win! I have never cried so much in a movie in my whole life the last 30 minutes I could not control myself because you really feel like you know these people in real life! Angelica Hudson manages to get a few tears out of you towards the end! Seth Rogan keeps the mood light when things get depressing! This movie is *beep* hilarious! It is the funniest movie of the year no doubt about it! I was belly laughing! And when it needs to be serious its serious, and when it needs to be funny it's funny! This is actually for me one of my favorite movies! I remember last year in July when Gordon-Levitt was in Inception and I said after I walked out "He is gonna be one of the greatest actors of his generation of actors!" and boy was I right! ” - spikee5697

What a beautiful film! If there is one type of era that Steven Spielberg can direct it is any type of War! When they show commercials and show trailers they never show the war aspect of the film! So when I was walking into this movie I assumed the film wouldn't live up to the title of the film and it would really be called Horse not War Horse. But I actually am really excited to say that the movie kicks some serious ass! The acting is magnificent, the script is excellent, the story is very interesting and fantastic, the score is breathtaking. The film is pretty much a serious of short stories about Joey the horse going through World War 1 and shifting through different owners! Every owner of the horse is lovable. By the end of this film you have been spending only two and a half hours with this horse and it feels like you have been spending 4 years with the horse just like the timeline during this movie! The movie is about two and a half hours and never gets boring! You will be on the verge of tears at points of the movie and at the end get your tissues ready cause things get emotional! Steven Spielberg is still in the top 3 film directors of all-time because this film is a masterpiece! Spielberg released 2 movies in the course of 2 weeks and they both were amazing! ” - spikee5697

In the 8th and film in the Harry Potter Saga and boy does this film live up to the hype! The film is the second part of The Deathly Hallows and it destroys its predecessor! Alan Rickman who plays Professor Snape really deserves a Best Supporting Actor Nomination from the Academy come February! The movie also deserves a Best Picture Nomination as well because the movie is truly brilliant and the Academy did give all the Lord of the Rings films nominations and this Potter film truly deserves it! The visual effects really blend in well with the story! Even though its not all that faithful to the book entirely, why is that a problem? It's a movie it doesn't matter! There a couple of scenes in the movie that I started to cry in especially Snape's memory scene! The end of the film is perfect and sums up the whole story of Harry Potter perfectly! I can't wait until I watch them all in order again! ” - spikee5697

Every single actor in this movie did a fantastic job and Andy Serkis steals the show as Ceaser the leader of the apes! He less than 5 lines but the way he plays the ape with all of his facial emotions and such he deserves an Academy Award! Sure it may be a rip off of E.T. but it is a very good one! The cinematography is great! The children in this movie are defiantly the best child actors I've seen in any movie ever! You are emotionally connected to all of the characters and are eager to find out there fate! The film is well paced and is action packed! ” - spikee5697

If this is what the U.K. is really like you bet my ass won't be there anytime soon!! It was a piece of toast buttered with awesome! This is movie was crazy! This is one of the only times this year that I thought the short run time was perfect for a movie! The movie is very fast paced and that works to its advantage 100%! I didn't know one actor in this movie except for Nick Frost and they all were terrific! I'm very sad that this movie bombed at the box office because people in the mainstream audiences would probably love this. As of 9/2/11 this is the best original score of the year no doubt! For the low budget this film had they had some really great special effects! I'm pretty sure Dylan Dog had the same budget and that movie looked like complete garbage! Even though all of your main characters are bad people you are routing for them the whole time and they are really likable! This is the Scott Pilgrim of 2011, except Scott Pilgrim made a lot more money than this did even though that bombed too! ” - spikee5697

This and Crazy, Stupid, Love are one way or another getting him an Oscar nomination! He doesn't have a lot of dialogue but he is really believable and even though what is going on is insane they somehow make you believe what's happening. The movie has an incredible soundtrack that is very techno/80's sounding. Every actor/actress does an incredible job and no one is slacking. All the action in the film is BRUTAL and if you have a qweezy stomach you should just close your eyes cause there is blood all over the place. The only thing in this movie that bothered me was the middle of the movie! Once you get to the middle its pacing is inconsistent, but it really wouldn't take much away from the full experience! This film really deserves a best cinematography nomination at the Oscars because each shot is excellently filmed! But the star of the movie is the director Nicolas Winding Refn. He did an excellent job directing this film and I can't wait for his future films that are sure to come! ” - spikee5697

What a great surprise! This is one of the best action films of 2011 and it didn't even come out in the summer! So how was it? *beep* amazing! The acting was incredible! The writing was great! The comedy in the movie is great and Simon Pegg is *beep* hilarious! Brad Bird does a fantastic job directing his FIRST live action film and he directed it excellently! There are so many memorable moments in this film! The best to me was when Tom Cruise is climbing the Dubai Tower, that sh*t is *beep* intense especially on the big screen your stomach DROPS. The score is great and the songs are very loud at points and help tend to whats going on and makes everything even more suspenseful! The only flaws are that the plot is pretty thin and the villain is one dimensional. The villain is pretty generic russian villain and the plot is good but never great. The reason I would give this score such a high score because of all the stuff I listed before! This is a movie I will need on Blu-Ray! If you see it in theaters its worth paying to see it in IMAX cause it is stunning! ” - spikee5697

Horrible Bosses is that really surprising summer comedy that looks okay in the trailers but when you watch the movie and you fall in love with it! The movie is funny as hell and the smartest comedy I've seen all year! It is completely original and has an amazing cast of characters! Jamie Foxx steals the show even though he is only in the movie a little bit! The only thing in the movie I thought was stupid was how one of the guys wouldn't have sex with Jennifer Anniston! She's freaking Jennifer Anniston! But that doesn't take any points off! This is one of the best comedies of the year and one of the most original ones that I've seen since The Hangover 1! ” - spikee5697

It's time to play the music, it's time to light the lights, it's time to meet the Muppets when you see this movie tonight! If you told me earlier this year that this movie was gonna exceed my expectations I would have called *beep* because the trailers for this movie weren't to great! It is great to all the Muppets back on the big screen after 12 long years! Jason Segal and Nicholas Stollar wrote the script and they really do a great job with the source material! Jason Segal stars in the film and is really, his singing and dancing is so bad its actually funny! Amy Adams does a great job and has a fantastic voice! The films soundtrack is great and all the songs are really memorable! The biggest problem in this movie is how certain Muppets don't get enough screen time including Gonzo and the new Muppet Walter. Walter is barely in the movie! He shows up in the beginning and disappears in the middle and finally appears again in the end! This is a great family movie and my favorite Muppet movie of all-time! ” - spikee5697

Seriously I cannot believe how real this animation looks, three cheers for WETA! This is the best looking animated movie of all-time! The question is does all the spectacle take away from the main story and characters? No, Spielberg manages to balance the beautiful animation and great story. The characters are all so lovable! The story is very interesting! And also the movie is really funny! The action sequences are incredible and the dialogue between characters is great thanks to the amazing writing done by Edgar Wright! The only problems with the movie I have are how when TinTin meets Captain Haddock they suddenly have perfect chemistry and it really didn't work for me! Also there was like 2 jokes that thought were really unneeded! The acting is amazing and Andy Serkis steals the show once again this year! The cliffhanger at the ending makes me so eager for the films sequel which Steven Spielberg will leave the directors chair but instead letting his Co-Producer Peter Jackson direct! I cannot wait! The cinematography is amazing! The John Williams score is great but not as memorable as his other scores, but still good! ” - spikee5697

Crazy, Stupid, Love is that rare film that exceeds expectations, and then some! The movie is a Comedy, Romance, and Drama! So it's a Dromandy! Every actor/actress in this movie brings there A-Game especially Ryan Gossling who steals the scene every time he is on screen! The movie is very funny and it is very touching to! There were points where I was like why is this character here andy then 5 minutes later they serve big things to the plot! There are so many sub-plots in the movie that all tie together! There is huge plot twist at the end which had me laughing my ass off! Overall I love this movie so much and I deserves all the praise it gets! ” - spikee5697

I was a little weary going into this movie because I was hearing mixed things about it! But in the end the movie was amazing! Chris Evens nails the role and so does the rest of the cast! The film doesn't pull an Iron Man 2 and shove Avengers references down our throut but they reference the film in a clever way! The 3D was great! The only problems with the movie are some of the dialogue is bad and some of the action seceunces should of been longer. Hugo Weaving plays a really convincing villain and I wanted to see more of him! Also, stay after the credits to see........THE AVENGERS TRAILER! ” - spikee5697

The 3D was really bad though! The jokes are great and the cast is amazing! The other bad thing about this movies climax isn't as climatic as it should have been! But that doesn't make it lose that many rating points because I love the origin story of this character! Kenneth Brannah really translated Thor and his allies well to film! This makes me very excited for its sequel coming Summer 2013 and next years The Avengers! ” - spikee5697

This movie did its job and that was to make me petrified and make me afraid of everything! I have never screamed in a movie in my whole life and I was screaming my head off! There are so many moments where me and my friends throwing popcorn in the air! The only problem with the movie is there are some cheesy one liners and and the movie just ends! Also I was too scared to the point where I will probably never watch this movie ever again! But if your a fan of horror get your ass to the theater and see this kick-ass horror flick! ” - spikee5697

Robert DeNiro is a great villain in this film! He really does a good job being evil and you hate his guts by the end of this movie! The chemistry Bradley Cooper and Abbie Cornish is great! Me not being a fan of the horror genre is one thing you should know about me! So I wasn't very excited to see this movie! But I am a huge fan of the comedy genre! Surprisingly I really dug the sh*t out of this movie! The only reason I will not give this movie a 10 is because there was some pretty weak and underwritten performances in the movie and how predictable this movie was. After the first 30 minutes I predicted almost everything that was going to happen! There are a lot of good things about this movie like the stellar performances by Collin Ferrall and Anton Yellchin, the action sequences, the jokes, and much more! Collin Ferrall and Anton Yellchin are very believable as the characters they are portraying, especially Yellchin! This was a great movie and defiantly one of the best horror films of the year so far! ” - spikee5697

Woddy Allen directs and I have never seen any Woddy Allen movies before this one and I wanna start watching more of them because he seems like an amazing director! Every actor brings there A-Game to the table and every actor is absolutely believable with the roles they are given! There are some really hard laughs in this one and you don't see them coming. The movie has this song playing throughout the whole movie and I can't get it out of my head! This is one of the best comedies of the year by a long shot! ” - spikee5697

Puss in Boots was a huge surprise! After the last 2 Shrek movies I thought I was done with the Shrek franchise! Four was bad, Three is in my top 5 worst movies of all-time. So you can tell I had no excitement for this! But it turns out I was completely wrong! Puss in Boots is a pretty great movie! Voice acting is top notch, animation is beautiful, and the story is really good! The movie has some really great laughs to! Whats wrong with the movie maybe how some characters aren't in the film as much as they should be! You also can tell from the first 20 minutes what the twist at the end will be and you know how it will end! ” - spikee5697

Who would have ever thought I would have been routing for the Oakland A's? This is the movie where you do so! This is the first tim this year where I could tell you what will get Oscar nominations this year! Aaron Sorkins screenplay is incredible and if there isn't a screenplay better than his he will probably win and same goes for Brad Pitt! His performance is my favorite of the year so far! He really gives it his all and really is the character. One really sup rising performance is Jonah Hills. I can tell he has a very good and long career in front of him! There are some bad things about the movie like its pretty slow and was a tad too long! Also Phillip Seemoore Hoffman does a really good job but he is barely in the movie, and the backstory of Billy Bean should have been a lot more in depth then it was! I love M.M.A. a lot. When I saw the trailer for this movie I was really excited. It had Tom Hardy starring in it and Nick Nolte also so I had a feeling this was gonna be a good one. So was it good? No it wasn't. It was GREAT! The acting is great. The fight scenes are breathtaking and suspenseful. Nick Nolte gives a amazing performance as Tom Hardy and Joel Edgertons father! He is really believable and towards the end of the film he makes you cry! Tom Hardy does a great job and even though I hated him during the movie he gave a hell of a performance. Joel Edgerton does a fantastic job and really gives it his all! The fights are amazing. There are a couple of flaws though! The beginning of the film is sort of slow and takes a bit for it to really get going and they montage through fights. The fight montages really take away from the feeling you get when the hero wins a fight! But overall it is a great movie! ” - spikee5697

The movie makes you feel really good when you walk out and makes realize that you can do anything with your friends help! It is definitely one of the best animated films of the year and deserves a Best Animated Feature nomination! The movie looks beautiful and the movie is surprisingly very funny! The movie is one of the shortest theatrically released films! The movie is only 65 minutes long and that isn't a bad thing! Its short and sweet and right to the point! I'm one of the few people who really enjoyed the 2nd Harold and Kumar! I thought it was fun, funny, stupid, and didn't take it self seriously at all! So when I heard about the 3rd I got excited but then I heard it was gonna be about Christmas and it was gonna be in 3D, so my expectations lowered themselves! So how is the movie? Great! It's surprisingly really funny and no joke it will be a classic Christmas movie probably in my Top 10 Christmas Movies Ever! All the jokes in the movie are well timed and acted out great by the actors. Neil Patrick Harris shows up for 15 minutes and literally steals the show and deserves some sort of reward for his cameo! The 3D knows that its a there for a joke and it is one of the greatest 3D movies ever! the only bad things are some of the jokes in the beginning just don't work and Kumar's new friend is just really annoying, pretty useless to me, and it just felt to short! They rushed through the movie after they leave NPH. But this is a really funny movie and will become a Christmas tradition of mine! For some reason when I saw this trailer back in May I was really excited to see this! It's pretty much a Rockem-Sokem Robots movie with Transformers, Rocky, and The Fighter mixed in it! This was better than the last 2 Transformers movies and what Transformers 2 and 3 should have been. Even though I really liked Transformers 3, I liked this tad better. Flaw wise there some weak performances by some and at points Hugh Jackman seems like he is trying a little too hard! But on to the positives the fighting sequences between the robots are incredible and its a lot of fun to watch! Also towards the end it gets sort of emotional! Starting with the cons the movie feels longer than it should have been, it drags for a couple scenes in the middle, and Ryan Reynolds really over do's the cursing which really isn't his fault its is really the writers fault but the way he delivers his cursing really annoyed me! The pros in the film are that Bateman and Reynolds' play each others roles perfectly, the jokes are hysterical, the chemistry between Bateman and Reynolds is really good, and you really feel for all the characters in the film! The movie like a lot of movies this year has horrible pacing! The beginning is slow as hell, then at about the 30 minute mark it starts to speed up, then about 15 minutes later it goes back to being slow again! This happens throughout the whole entire film. Some of the characters don't get as much screen time as I would like them and that makes those characters pretty 2 Dimensional. While, the action in the film is incredible, there are some big flaws. Rachel McAdams who only shows up for like 20 minutes, she is really bad do to some poor writing! Noomi Rapace who was the original Girl With The Dragon Tattoo was completely wasted and was only a plot device and really forget about her! The use of slow-mo is at times over used! And finally, this movie at points suffers from the T.M.S.G.O. aka Too Much *beep* Going On, there was so much going on that it took me out of the film once or twice! Now whats good about this movie? The action is incredible! Guy Richie knows how to direct action! The comedy is fantastic and had me belly laughing! Sherlock Holmes(Robert Downey Jr.) and Watson(Jude Law) have excellent chemistry and work off each-other very well! The acting is great! Each performance is really believable(except McAdams). Jared Hess is the perfect Moriarty. The special effects were excellent and probably will get an Oscar nomination! Han Zimmer's score is great! I think they could of shaved off 10-20 minutes of the movie and it would of been a lot better for me! Its directed by one of my favorite directors Martin Scorsese and which he also won Best Director for this film at the Nation Board of Review awards! Many critics have called this the best movie of 2011 and one of the best movies ever made! So does live up to all the incredible reviews its been getting? Yes...and no. Yes, because its a good movie; and no, because it did not live up to my expectations. This film does have some flaws. First its way to long, then the middle drags and 1 or 2 scenes get kinda boring, and finally the only person who I thought didn't give a good performance was Sasha Baron Cohen who is one of the best actors out there! He seems like he is still using the voice he used in Brüno, I know his character is supposed to annoying but he was just not good! The good things about this movie? The acting by everyone except Sasha Baron Cohen is great! The child actors are great and are some of the best working today! The cinematography is excellent and really deserves an Oscar nomination this year. Scorsese's direction is really good! But its sad to say it wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be. There was so much potential and it looked like it had all the right ingredients! You had an all-star cast and you had Steven Soderbergh directing! But the film suffers from to many characters and some dull/boring scenes! Marion Cotillard's character was completely wasted and truly was useless and could have easily been taken out of the movie and it wouldn't have effected it! The beginning of the movie is slow, and so is the middle at one point! But the last 30-45 minutes is what I was waiting for the whole time and what the movie should have been! Also the acting is superb by everyone in this movie. Even Gweneth Paltrow who is only in the movie for 10 minutes or so, gives a great performance. For a Pixar movie it is very disappointing! This film is probably the worst movie by Pixar behind Cars 1! But that still doesn't make it a bad movie! This was a very unneeded sequel! Really? It seems like they are not even trying to attempt to make a decent or okay movie! First off the producers and production company of this movie are trying to find different directors to helm each movie to make it better. The one thing is the source material each director is working with is sh*t. Second, get some good actors who don't make there dialogue unintentionally laughable. Im telling you the first hour of this movie I couldn't stop laughing because of how bad the dialogue was. The jokes write themselves! After the first hour they try to get very serious but that doesn't work for sh*t cause you don't feel for any of the characters at all! The special effects and CGI are improving from the previous films but it still looks completely fake. I thought Taylor Laughter was pretty bad in Abduction, and he is even worse in this movie! It wasn't like is was expecting Citizens *beep* Kane going into this movie but I purposely put my expectations in the middle so I didn't go in with a HUGE bias against it! Really don't see this its and hour and fifty minutes of my life I want back! ” - spikee5697

*beep* man! How the *beep* was this made? Taylor Lautner is officially in the top 5 worst actors working today! They manage to make Sigourney Weaver's character insanely annoying! How do they manage to *beep* up action scenes! The movie had so much potential to make this a great movie but they gave this concept to a bunch of horrible people! I really can't blame Taylor Lautner for his performance because the script was so poorly written, but even if it was good he still could manage to *beep* it up! The cinematography was bad, the acting was apocalyptic, and the writing is one of the worst of the year! Lily Collins is really hot but even her beauty can't save this horrific train wreck of a film! I wanted to walk out after the first 5 minutes, and I should have! There isn't one good thing I can say about this movie! Taylor Lautner just take a break for awhile, your acting in Twilight is better, ....nuff said. ” - spikee5697
