My Favorite Horror Films

These are my favorite horror films, without regard to year or what country the film was made in. I like obscure, unique horror, with rich characters and plot. I can't put my finger on exactly what I like, but horror I find innovative and entertaining, I like. Please keep in mind this is a list of personal preference and I have not seen many of the "classics" so if you don't see Freddy or Jason or Leatherface, that's not a sin. I hope you enjoy and perhaps add a couple to your watchlist!

This movie strays from the typical zombie film and focuses on a single character and his painful descent into zombie-hood as well as the pain his wife goes through. The acting is superb, particularly of the main characters, and their pain is very real. The effects are excellent, and the zombies take a step-up in zombie gross-ness. I have been waiting for a zombie film like this. Definitely an unappreciated gem and MUST for zombie-lovers! ” - whodoesshekill
