A surprisingly clever, if predictable (everything that uses the monomyth as a plot it's predictable), postmodern comedy. It's the most fun I've had in cinema since Inception.

Votes: 147,509 | Gross: $13.30M
It has easily the best scene on screens this year: the creation of the solar system, lost in space, scored by Preisner's Requiem. However the final act drags a little too much. And I didn't thought that Hunter McCraken was such a good actor. It has none of the intensity of other child actors such as Hailee Steinfeld, Chloe Moretz, Haley Joel Osment or even Anna Paquin (in The Piano).

Votes: 42,933 | Gross: $0.97M
It's Mel Gibson's best performance since Signs, but the movie seems to be unsure if it has to adopt a more playful or a darker tone. And the rest of the family, knowing that Gibson's character is on the verge of suicide is oddly unsupportive. It has it's moments, but in the end, it passes off as a tame dramedy.

Some jokes are good, the animation is great and Jesse Eisenberg is excellent as always (he's the only person alive that can pull off the Nerd stereotype without making me hate it). However it felt incredibly recycled and generic.

Votes: 413,772 | Gross: $241.07M
It's good to see Jack Sparrow again, but its darker, almost grim tone and the substitution of many beloved characters for bland copies (Pintel and Ragetti, where are they?!) make it just a surprisingly fun-free movie. God, how I miss Gore Verbinski.
PS: The Spainiards were awesome!

While it's undeniably bad, it's not in the same level of badness of TF2. Because you can easily mock TF2. This... it's just boring... I even fell asleep for 15 minutes during the climax. I still put it this high on the list because the first scenes were undeniably decent.
