HORROR MOVIE NIGHT- Creepy comedy collection
by Gonzothefacey | created - 29 Apr 2011 | updated - 02 Nov 2014 | PublicCampy horror is here to stay- a lot of modern horror movie scripts seem to jump at every opportunity to mix the comedy with the creepy. This is a mix of funny scary movies and scary movies that are so bad its funny.
I don't watch a lot of campy horror- it just isn't my preference- so my knowledge of this genre is limited and suggestions are always more than welcome!

Director: Steven Spielberg | Stars: Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss, Lorraine Gary
Votes: 656,918 | Gross: $260.00M
With this one entry I include the whole series. It started its own horror genre. Thanks to 'Jaws' we now have 'Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus!'

Votes: 128,118 | Gross: $5.10M
Mostly scary with political undertones, this film had its funny moments. I watch it now and I think 'wow, zombies move waaaay faster now than they did in the '70s!'

If you haven't seen this movie you should. Not intended to fit in to the story line of the 'Halloween' slasher series, this movie had nothing what so ever to do with Michael Meyers. I bought it on VHS at a pawn shop years ago and was disapointed and suprised all at the same time. It is truley hilarious.

Director: Bernard Rose | Stars: Virginia Madsen, Xander Berkeley, Tony Todd, Kasi Lemmons
Votes: 99,823 | Gross: $25.79M
The whole concept of this movie is hilarious- its like bloody mary from the projects. As a child I always pictured bloody mary's behind the mirror crib to be very high class, victorian even. Weird, I know- I had a big imagination. But Candyman lives in a grafittied abandoned bulding. Rambling on, good movie, good for a laugh.
