Probably my favorite and indeed the last great Universal Monster movies, ive always loved movies set in the jungle or the amazon and something about the creature *beep* terrified me when i was a kid. The sequel called Revenge of the Creature made in 1955 whilst not having the same kind of darkness the first had is still very solid for a 1950's monster movie. Features none other than Clint Eastwood in a small uncredited part. Was not a big fan of the third installment called The Creature Walks among us, just thought it was was really lackluster and boring

The Toxic Avenger is Troma's most popular film and it is great it must be said. Has everything you would expect from Troma, bad acting cheesy dialogue and in completely bad taste. In The Toxic Avenger 2 we see our favourite superhero go to Japan so cue hilarious moments with the Japanese people. Not as good as the first but tremendous fun all the same. The third installment entitled Last Temptation of Toxie is definitely the weakest of the franchise but still very fun at the same time, starts off well but trails a little towards the end, features one of the coolest on screen devils i've ever seen, and a very good scene where we see Toxie melt and disintegrate. Citizen Toxie the fourth part of the series is my favourite, the whole film is absolutely ridiculous, over the top in every way possible and very very funny

Although far too over hyped in my opinion, this is still a really good slasher film. Actually really funny at parts as well with great cameos from Robert Englund and Tony Todd, Part 2 is much better in my opinion, funnier gorier and more Tony Todd which is never a bad thing. For the third film in the franchise Adam Green steps away from the director's chair and gives his blessing to BJ McDonnell to continue it for him. He does a pretty damn good job in my opinion, whilst not quite as good as the first two it still manages to keep the charm and is definitely a ridiculously entertaining watch. It starts off where the second one left off with Danielle Harris blowing Victor Crowley's head off. Crowley however, isn't dead. They have another altercation and Harris manages to escape with his scalp. She then makes her way to the local police station covered in blood with a shotgun in one hand and Crowley's scalp in the other. Naturally, the police are suspicious and blame Harris for all the murders in the previous two films. They go to investigate and find out Crowley is more than just an urban myth. Danielle Harris is delightful as always. There's also a few nice additions to the cast including Zach Galligan of Gremlins fame playing the local Sheriff. Star of Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 Caroline Williams plays the ex wife of Galligan and a snoopy reporter. There's also an extremely funny cameo by Sid Haig playing a racist family member of Crowleys. As with any Hatchet movie the gore and special effects are the highlight sporting some of the coolest death scenes you're likely to see
