This Japanese offering is quite frankly one of the scariest films of the decade and is far more effective than Paranormal Activity. Have patience with a slow build up as its shocking conclusion is well worth the wait. 9/10 an absolute gem.

Dark, vicious and horrifying film from Argentina regarding a reporter's investigation into the urban legend of Snuff films, it easily transcends its micro budget with a punch to the face. Keeping things extreme, Fred Vogel's micro budgeted grime fest gets unjust hate, but if one buys into its found footage premise, it's a starkly realistic portrayal of two aimless impulse killing sociopaths. 8/10, a deceptively good film.
