What is the "IMDb Staff" category displayed in some vote breakdowns?

In addition to the weighted average vote displayed on all title pages, a more detailed demographic breakdown of votes is also available for every film in the database by clicking on the all user ratings link (which looks like this: "Ratings: x/10 from xxx users") next to the star rating at the top of each main title page. On title subpages like trivia or quotes, click on the User Ratings link in the "Opinions" section at the bottom of the page.

Votes are broken down by gender (male vs. female), age groups and nationality (US vs. non-US users). Some titles also have a category called IMDb Staff, which includes figures for the votes cast by IMDb staff members.

IMDb Staff votes have absolutely no special influence over the film's average rating. They have the same weight/effect on a film's average rating as the votes cast by regular users: we simply show them in a separate category for informational/entertainment purposes only, so you can see what is our staff's average opinion of the film and compare it with your own.
