Some of the credits you list in my filmography are wrong. How do I delete them?

You need to submit a correction or deletion request through our web-based submission forms. Before you attempt to delete something, however, please be sure you know what you're doing!

See our submissions instructions for more details on how to use our web-based form to add/change credits. Simply choose the Correct/Delete option next to any category of credit you wish to correct and you will get a form that will let you perform corrections on your existing filmography data. Note that in most cases you will be asked to provide an explanation: you should always supply a comment together with any correction/deletion, detailing the reason for your request (i.e. exactly why you need to delete it or what's wrong with the credits and how can we correct them). The more detailed your explanation, the easier/faster it will be for our staff to take appropriate action.

Many people attempt to delete data for the wrong reasons. For example they may misunderstand how we list years in film titles (we always show the year of release, not of production) and assume that the title is incorrect; or they may attempt to delete an entry because they meant to resubmit a corrected one but never actually send the latter. To avoid data loss we do not take deletion requests lightly and perform them only when some clear and unambiguous explanation is provided (the web interface will explicitly request the submitter for details on the deletion).

If you tried to correct/delete information and nothing happened, it means that we couldn't process it due to insufficient or contradictory information. Please resubmit your deletion request with more explanatory information to ensure it is correctly handled.
