I'm a huge fan of a certain movie. May I submit a photo for its IMDb page?

No. Only authorized representatives for the person or movie may submit photos. Because of legal concerns, we have to restrict who can submit photos to actually go on our pages.

BUT if you've found a cool photo on another site, you can submit a link to that site. It will appear as a text link (click here for an example). This way, the photo isn't on our site. We're just telling people where to find web pages with photos. It's not as neat as having the photo right there on our pages, but it helps dedicated fans find more photos and helps keep us out of trouble.

You must be a registered user to do this.

  1. Go to the page for the film you found that great photo of.

  2. Go to the bottom of their page and click the "update" button.

  3. You'll get a list of types of information you can submit. Find the "Links to Other Sites" section.

  4. Select the number of web pages you want to submit links for.

  5. Go to the bottom of the page, click "Continue" and follow the prompts from there.

Make sure you're careful about the categories you pick (miscategorized links will usually be thrown out) and please submit a link to the page with the photo, not the .jpg or .gif file itself.
