What's the meaning of those codes (like [se] or [hr]) that sometimes follow the name of a production company or distributor?

Those are ISO (International Organization for Standards) country codes.

For example, "[se]" stands for Sweden; "[hr]" is Croatia etc.

We use those codes to identify the country where a company is based. So, for example, the letters "[za]" after a company name mean that it's based in South Africa.

You can get a complete list of ISO two-letter country codes, on the ISO 3166 list web page.
