Plot: Jaime Pressly and Katie Finneran portray a pair of single moms and best friends, both of whom have grown to fear and slightly loathe their spoiled teenage daughters. To make matters more nightmarish, their spawn happen to be beautiful, popular and mean - precisely the kind of girls who made high school a living hell for these these recovering nerds.
Why We're Excited: On the face of it, this comedy could prove to be cathartic to the very large portion of the audience sickened by the wave overindulged children slowly morphing into shallow, "me-first" adults. Pressly is terrific as a put-upon, overwhelmed mother, and a scene with Finneran miserably scarfing down a pie with her hands may make you cackle out loud.
Why We're Not: The scene we just described it the only truly funny part about this pilot. Beyond that, we're not sure this show is truly worth beating up, since its late premiere virtually ensures that it will get lost in the late fall fray.
Trivia: Jaime Pressly was legally emancipated from her parents at age 15.
