  • The objectives of the festival are to present new works by the film directors and producers in Armenia and foreign cinematographers of Armenian descent and to promote creativity and originality in the area of cinema and video art. The competition includes the following categories: feature, short, documentary, student and debut, animation and experimental as well as video art.

Lifetime Achievement Award
  • Armenian filmmaker Sergei Parajanov, while in Soviet imprisonment, carved with his fingernails figures ("thalers") on the aluminium lids of milk bottles and sent them to his dearest for their achievements. The award represents a silver copy of one of these coins exhibited at Parajanov Museum in Yerevan.
