The San Sebastian Festival is a competitive non-specialized Festival, considered the most important event in the Spanish-speaking world. Main sections are the Official Section (competition), Zabaltegi, with its €90,000 cash award, Altadis-New Directors, Horizontes Latinos, carrying a €35,000 cash award, and meticulous retrospectives. Films in Progress and Cinema in Motion aim to support the completion of unfinished films.
