- Young pianists take part in the legendary International Chopin Piano Competition. A unique chance of a lifetime, portrayed from backstage and set to Chopin's music.
- An intimate portrait of the world's most outstanding rhythmic gymnast Margarita Mamun who needs to overcome mental fragility to take part in the Olympic Games.
- The Church of the Holy Sepulchre in the Old City of Jerusalem - the most sacred place in Christendom - is shared by six different Christian sects: Greek Orthodox, Catholics, Armenians, Copts, Syrians and the Ethiopians - all of whom are constantly trying to maintain the ancient, fragile Status Quo. The guardians of the key to the Church are two Moslem families, both of which claim to be the key custodian. And one Israeli Police officer, Johnny, who's responsible for keeping the peace in the Church.
- THE CORPORATE COUP D'ÉTAT takes a complex political/historical theme and brings it to life. In the style of '13th', 'Manufacturing Consent', 'The Corporation', and 'All Governments Lie' it creates a powerful cinematic experience that explains how President Trump is the result of failed neoliberal globalist policies, and a 'corporate coup d'état' in which corporations and billionaires were able to gradually take control of the political process in the U.S. and elsewhere. In the words of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Chris Hedges: 'Donald Trump is not an anomaly. He is the grotesque visage of a collapsed democracy. The creeping corporate coup d'état that began 45 years ago is complete. It has destroyed the lives of tens of millions of Americans no longer able to find work that provides a living wage, cursed to live in chronic poverty.' Threaded through the film are the stories of the ultimate victims - working class and poor people in 'sacrifice zones' like Camden, New Jersey and Youngstown, Ohio. Many working-class whites voted twice for Barack Obama, in '08 and '12, but in 2016 they felt abandoned by the elites of both parties, and voted for Donald Trump who promised he would be different. Featuring Chris Hedges, the main 'voice' of the film as he visits Americans fighting for change and Canadian author John Ralston Saul, who warned prophetically in 1995: 'We are now in the midst of a coup d'état in slow motion. Democracy is weakening... corporatism is strengthening.'
- PRICE WARS is a shattering account of the destabilizing power of price, and a forceful critique of the free market philosophy that leaves the most vulnerable at the mercy of the commodities markets.
- The German protection of the constitution is repeatedly criticized. The secret service, which sees itself as an "early warning system" against the dangers to which our democracy is exposed, has slept all too often, so the critics. The federal and state offices for the protection of the constitution were accused of being "blind in the right eye". But the new president of the secret service, Thomas Haldenwang, recognized the growing threat posed by right-wing extremist violence and its supporters and ordered his office to change course. The film analyzes whether and how this "early warning system" works and examines the question: How prepared are the protectors of our constitution against the growing threat from right-wing extremist violence and the continuing threat from Islamists. And is this intricately structured secret service up to the current and future threats? Exclusive access to intelligence agencies The authors had exclusive access to secret services in the federal government and several federal states. Current case studies document the work of the agents. The journalist Heribert Prantl speaks out on fundamental questions, such as what means the constitutional state has and should have to ensure security from extremists and terror of whatever origin - without restricting the freedom rights guaranteed by the Basic Law.
- America has always been a land of extremes, but it is as polarised today as it's ever been. Travelling through its states, this timely documentary explores the influences that are changing the face of American culture. What will become of the land of the free?
- When he won in November 2020, US President Joe Biden declared that America was back. Yet the world's oldest democracy seems to be in a serious existential crisis. Last May, the holding of the annual convention of the main gun lobby (the NRA) in the aftermath of the shooting at Uvalde primary schools shocked many Americans. In this tense context, nothing prevents Donald Trump from running again for president in 2024. What will happen if the Republicans, who are still largely behind him, win the mid-term legislative elections, scheduled for 8 November?
- BND officials have been monitoring others for 60 years. The documentary asks critical questions - of the spies, their superiors and in parliament.
- Award-winning director Patrick Forbes goes beyond the headlines to film the bitter battle to govern Britain after 2016's referendum vote. Filmed over one extraordinary year, it's a story of low politics, high ambition and bitter personal animosities. Can the prime minister tame the judges, the opposition and the public to deliver Brexit?
