- Fabrice Vernon, famous personal trainer and adventurer, is found stabbed with an awl in the cabin of his boat at jetty no. 3 of Marseille port. Vernon, who went to Lycée with Barth Meyer, was in town for a lecture in a bookstore and decided to stay the night on the boat. Only witness, a drunken Dutchman declares a motorcycle fled from the crime scene. The police rule out robbery and focus on Vernon's clients. Myriam declares he had an argument with Philippe Choppard, history teacher, who despised and humiliated Jérémy in public.
- Lionel Kaplan, a prominent local entrepreneur, is found dead, severely beaten, a few dozen meters from the premises of his company Fibro Tech, where carbon fiber composite hulls for racing sailboats are produced. Judges doubt if the murder is linked to his professional activities, and a trail of industrial espionage must be followed, or if they should rather look for a motive in his personal life.
- While an amateur theater company, made up of inhabitants of Grandagne, rehearses on the stage in the middle of town main square, one of the actors, Pierre Tessier, dies poisoned while drinking a supposedly full glass of wine. The deceased worked in a bank branch and had received anonymous threatening letters, so the first investigations of the judges are directed towards the culprits.
- The body of Justine Santoni, a teenage girl is found next to her bicycle, on a secluded path. The first findings show a road accident with hit and run. The victim's clothes and bag are intact, but she bears some signs of assault. Her parents say she had nothing to do there in the middle of the night. Indeed, the young girl was supposed to spend the evening with her best friend.

There is nothing to identify the deceased, but a badge found stuck in a pocket with the acronym "VM +" which leads Constance and Boris to a clairvoyance telephone platform, where the victim, Marlyse Angélie, worked.
