- Troubled TV personality Steven Evans struggles to find meaning in his life in the face of the superficial world he has created. Smothered by celebrity and materialism, Steven's only respite is through solitary visits to the ocean and shallow sexual encounters with the acquaintances that orbit his life. When his long-term partner hurls him headfirst into fatherhood, Steven's initial reluctance is gradually replaced with love, as he discovers, in his new family, a bond stronger than any he has experienced before. But the return of an unexpected visitor triggers off a series of events that thrusts Steven and his family into a cycle of loneliness, self-destruction and grief.
- Burdened by a quarter life crisis and middle class ennui, Wlliam's only relief is found in extended binges of The Smiths with his only friend, playwright Nick. When William soon finds love in the mysterious Salome, his relationship with Rick is tested and William is faced with a life-changing request.
- This film is the story of a man who had all of his dreams come true and then stolen. It is also the story of how you live with that and get up and start again and again. The man is Frank Howson. Film director, producer, writer, composer, and many other things. His film directorial work started with the widescreen, lush erotic thriller Hunting which received international release and critical recognition. It is a dark and forbidding view of the world of modern capitalism and the breaking down of personal values. Since then he directed the biopic Flynn (based on the early life and Errol Flynn starring Guy Pearce) and this film also received international release and much media attention, especially at Cannes when it premiered in 1993. Since then his films The Final Stage and his last one Remembering Nigel have taken on a more personal and sometimes funny view of the world.
