- Amanda's suspicions about Luke lead to a discovery about Ripp.
- Amanda becomes concerned that Laura will be branded a "Javelina" or not-so cute-girl - a name that Amanda coined herself in high school -- while Gigi decides to throw Amanda a luncheon in her honor in an effort to reintroduce her to society. Meanwhile a devastated Carlene rallies from her embarrassment in church and plots to get back at Amanda, Blake and Cricket disagree over his priorities, and Sharon worries about Zach's fidelity.
- Things heat up when a church relationship seminar forces Amanda to confront her past while Heather sets her eyes on her new client and former high school nerd, Andrew. Meanwhile Carlene meddles in both Sharon's and Cricket's marriages to deflect from her own marital dissatisfaction.
- When Carlene learns that her Uncle Burl and his wife Bitsy have returned to Dallas, Gigi decides to organize a homecoming party where guests are required to come dressed as their favorite Texan. Heather attempts to take Burl's 500 acres of land for Andrew. When Amanda comes up with a new jean design, Cricket seems to support it even as religious-right protesters cause her company to lose sponsors. However, Amanda discovers Cricket is secretly behind the protests; willing to hurt her own company for the sole reason to ruin Amanda as part of Cricket's own twisted way to get back at her for stealing Bill away from her many years ago, but Amanda keeps it to herself in respect to her own destructive and scandalous knowledge of Cricket and Blake's sham marriage. Meanwhile, Sharon and Zack go through a rough patch, resulting in Sharon going to work at the church and Zach taking over the household responsibilities for Sharon at home.
- Heather gets Sheryl Crow to perform at the annual church fundraiser.
- Blake has a special request for Cricket.
- Pastor Tudor surprises the congregation when he tells them to get frisky.
- Cricket and Carlene compete in a sing-off.
- Amanda recruits the ladies for help with a cook-off.
