- One day, George is shocked to discover that there's no post to deliver. George is perplexed - what should he do on a day off?
- Everyone is practising their acts for the outback talent show, to be held at the Koala Brothers' homestead. Frank and Buster discover that Josie would really like to be able to perform in the show, but she's too frightened of dancing in public.
- Mitzi, Alice and Archie are down at the water hole when they hear a heavenly sound: the tinkling tune from an ice-cream van approaching. It's Lolly, the ice-cream vendor. Everyone is very excited. As Lolly goes to serve out the ice cream, she realises that something's wrong - the ice cream is melting!
- After seeing Frank in charge of a project at the homestead, Mitzi decides that she wants to be in charge of something. She organises a "Big Adventure", and ropes in Archie and Ned to come on her expedition.
- Mitzi is wondering what lies over the horizon, and she tries her best to see, but to no avail. When George the postman arrives to deliver the mail, he shows Mitzi a postcard of a sandy beach, and Mitzi is excited - it looks much more exciting than the outback, which she sees every day, and which seems a bit flat. Mitzi decides that she'd like to go on a holiday, to see some new sights.
- When Ned doesn't turn up for the Koalas' take-off routine, Frank and Buster discover that he has a cold - his first - and is too ill to work.
- Ned wants, more than anything, to fly a plane like his hero, Frank.
- When Ned starts to feel that everyone gets visitors but him, he decides to invent an imaginary friend, "Big Benny", who comes to stay with him in the caravan.
- Penny the penguin comes for a holiday at the Koala Brothers' homestead.
- Frank and Buster get a letter from Penny, saying that she's arriving at the airstrip, and needs help! Penny reveals that she has a problem - she can't knit, and she's trying to knit a jumper for Lolly, for those cold outback mornings.
- Sammy wants to be the first shop-keeper on the moon, but he realises that the moon is a bit further away than he expected.
- Alice the platypus needs help to stop her hiccups.
- One day, George feels he's let Mitzi down when a box of chocolates he delivers to her has melted, due to him taking too long on his rounds.
- One day, Ned notices that everyone seems to be able to whistle, except him. Frank, Buster and Mitzi all try and show Ned how to whistle, but without success.
