- This drama documentary closely follows the Swedish police force' advanced training of their interrogators. The future interrogators faces one by one a made up murder-case and has to cross-examine the primary suspect, Bengt Oscarsson, to find out if he's guilty or not.
- Erik Söderberg makes an effort to find a living relative for his wife Anna in Germany. Orvar is finally getting married to his fiancée Eva and is building a villa. At Boda, a foreman is hired to cope with the spring cultivation.
- Peace is delayed, the spring of 1945 is a troubled time. Gösta visits his friend Rota at a nursing home for injured soldiers. At Boda farm, Egon impatiently awaits his son's return, but Gösta has his own problems in his marriage to Lilian.
- Gösta lives alone in the small apartment, while Lilian moves into a stately apartment. The fighting around Boda farm intensifies. Orvar has definitely taken a stand against his father and is actively working to get to the big rapids.

- The split within the Nilsson family is a fact. Egon has lost the first court proceedings about the rapids. Orvar leads the fight, against his own father. Britta is forced to defend her territory and comes into conflict with her mother.
- Egon's foot is getting worse, but he won't sell a rapids that has been around for 1000's of years. He prefers then to litigate while he waits for Gösta to come home and take over the farm. Eventually, Gösta arrives to set things straight.
