Mike Monroe (Character)

Mike Monroe, played by Anthony Edwards (later of ER fame) is an allergy sufferer of epic proportions. He has been diagnosed with MCS or multiple chemical sensitivity. This condition forced him to leave his life as an urban lawyer to escape to a custom built geodesic dome with a sterile vestibule that guests must pass through, donning scrubs before coming in to visit him. Dr. Joel Fleischman thinks Monroe is a quack, but Maggie falls for him anyway. When Monroe goes into town, he wears one of Maurice Minnifield's NASA space suits.
