Herry is a furry, blue monster who lives on Sesame Street. He is bigger than many of his fellow monsters, and considerably stronger. In fact, he doesn't know his own strength, and has occasionally broken things just by handling them. He has stated that fact himself in the song "I Can't Help It", which he sang while inadvertently demolishing nearly the entire Fix-It Shop. He also has the ability to consume inedible objects on occasion. One time he actually shared a bicycle with Cookie Monster. Despite this, however, Herry is actually very sensitive and friendly. He enjoys playing with his friends and is very good with kids. He also loves to play with dolls and always hugs his teddy bear while in bed at night.

Herry's parents and grandmother have appeared on the show, singing about how much he looks like them, in that he shares a different bodily feature with each of them. According to many Sesame Street books, Herry also has a little sister named Flossie. In his spare time, he does a variety of different things. For a time, he has a recurring segment called "Monsters in Day Care", which gave him all the more chance to interract with children. He has also done quite a lot of acting. Probably no one has been in more of Prairie Dawn's pageants than he, and he also appeared in a handful of Cookie's Monsterpiece Theater segments. In addition, he was the host of the Sesame Street video "Monster Hits!" Herry's birthday is August 31.
