Davy is the heartthrob of the Monkees, who all the female fans long for. He is adorable and has a cute English accent and Beatles haircut that make him irresistable. Although he is seen to play a variety of instruments, including the drums and caracas, he is remembered primarily for being the vocalist on many of the Monkees' best-loved songs, including "Daydream Believer" and "I Wanna Be Free." Davy had a wealthy grandfather who apparently financed his trip to America, and who at one time contemplated bringing him back home, but decided it was more beneficial for the boy to be with his friends.
