Bambi II (2006)
Thumper: Oh, come on! You jumped farther than this yesterday!
Bambi: [Nervous] I... don't know...
Thumper: [Tauntingly] You're not afraaaiid, are ya?
[Bambi gets scared]
Thumper: [sing-song voice] You're too afraaaiid! You cannot juuuump! Nyah-nyah-nyah-nyyyah-nyah! Nyah-nyah, nyaaaahhh!
[Bambi runs back and does a big jump]
Thumper: [Amazed] You did it!

[First lines]
Bambi: Mother! Mother! Moth...
[Gasp]
The Great Prince: Your mother can't be with you anymore. Come.

Bambi: She's not coming back, is she?
The Great Prince: No.

Thumper: Being brave is easy.
Bambi: It is?
Thumper: Sure, watch this. Argh!
Flower: I think he's got a hairball.
Thumper: No, silly. I'm being brave. All you got to do is be scarier than whatever's scaring you.

Thumper: I'm a mountain lion! Roar!
Bambi: I'm a... I'm a bear! Maaa!
Flower: I'm a turtle. Rrrr!
[pause]
Flower: What? Turtles are so scary.

Bambi: It was mother. I heard her voice.
The Great Prince: That was one of Man's tricks!
Bambi: But I thought...
The Great Prince: What if I didn't come in time? When I tell you to run, you run! Never freeze like that again, ever!
Bambi: I'm... I'm sorry.

The Great Prince: Did you jump?
Bambi: Uh, yeah.
The Great Prince: I didn't make a jump like that until I had antlers.

[Last lines]
Bambi: I didn't even know this place was here.
The Great Prince: Beautiful, isn't it? This... this is where I met your mother.
Bambi: Really?
The Great Prince: Yes. I was just about your age.
Bambi: What were you like?
The Great Prince: Me? Let me think... Actually, I was a lot like you.

Bambi: [Bambi has a dream in which he meets his mother] I miss you so much.
Bambi's Mother: Shh. There now. It's going to be all right. You'll see.
Bambi: Why'd you have to go?
Bambi's Mother: Everything in the forest has its season. Where one thing falls, another grows. Maybe not what was there before, but something new and wonderful all the same.
Bambi: But I feel so alone.
Bambi's Mother: I'm always with you. Even when you can't see me, I'm here.

Faline: [hearing Bambi scream] What was that?
Ronno: Ah, probably just some poor dumb animal caught in a trap. So anyway...
Bambi: [in the distance] YEOW!
Faline: [gasps] Bambi!
[dashes off]
Ronno: [angrily] HEY! I wasn't finished talking about me!

Bambi: [trying to master his dad's advice, he walks along with his eyes closed] Feel the forest. Feel the forest.
The Great Prince: [seeing where Bambi is going] Bambi!
Bambi: Feel the - OOF!
[walks headfirst into a tree]
Bambi: Heh, heh. Felt it.

The Great Prince: Bambi, a prince does not...
Bambi: That's all you care about! Not about me!
The Great Prince: Don't you speak to me...
Bambi: [running off] I wish Mother was here instead of you!

Bambi: Oh! I gotta go! My dad's waiting for me!
Additional Voices: Bye, Bambi.
Thumper: Aww, Bambi, you never have time for us anymore.
Faline: Yeah. Isn't it wonderful?

The Great Prince: Bambi, a prince awakens before the forest does. If you are late again, I shall have no choice but to...
[Bambi's stomach gurgles]
The Great Prince: What was that?
Bambi: What was what?
[his stomach gurgles again, and he laughs nervously]
Bambi: I guess it was my stomach.
The Great Prince: Then you should eat.
[Bambi pauses confused]
The Great Prince: Oh, well, I suppose I should find you something to eat.
[the prince digs up some snow revealing a nearly dead plant]
Bambi: Ehh. No thank you.
The Great Prince: Have you ever tried it?
Bambi: Well, no.
The Great Prince: Then how do you know you don't like it if you've never tried it?

Bambi (1942)
Flower: [about two birds fluttering around] Well! What's the matter with them?
Thumper: Why are they acting that way?
Friend Owl: Why, don't you know? They're twitterpated.
Flower, Thumper, Bambi: Twitterpated?
Friend Owl: Yes. Nearly everybody gets twitterpated in the springtime. For example: you're walking along, minding your own business. You're looking neither to the left, nor to the right, when all of a sudden, you run smack into a pretty face. Woo-woo! You begin to get weak in the knees. Your head's in a whirl. And then you feel light as a feather; and before you know it, you're walking on air. And then you know what? You're knocked for a loop, and you completely lose your head!
Thumper: Gosh. That's awful.
Flower: Gee whiz.
Bambi: Terrible!
Friend Owl: And that ain't all. It can happen to anybody. So you'd better be careful.
[points at Bambi]
Friend Owl: It could happen to you...
[points at Thumper]
Friend Owl: ...and you, and...
[Flower looks at Owl shyly]
Friend Owl: Yes, it could even happen to you!
Thumper: Well, it's not gonna happen to me.
Bambi: Me neither.
Flower: Me neither.

Great Prince of the Forest: It is Man. He is here again. There are many this time. We must go deep into the forest. Hurry! Follow me!
Bambi: Faline!

Young Bambi: What happened, Mother? Why did we all run?
Bambi's Mother: Man was in the forest.

Young Bambi: Mother! Mother!
[Bambi searches frantically for his mother. Suddenly he gasps, startled by a shadow in front of him. It is The Great Prince of the Forest]
Great Prince of the Forest: Your mother can't be with you anymore.
[Bambi closes his eyes and bows his head, as a single tear comes out of his eye]
Great Prince of the Forest: Come, my son.

Young Thumper: Whatcha doin'? Hibernatin'?
Young Flower: [yawns] Uh-huh.
Young Bambi: Whatcha wanna do that for?
Young Flower: [chuckles] All us Flowers sleep in the winter. Well, good night.

Young Bambi: He stopped and looked at me.
Bambi's Mother: Yes, I know.
Young Bambi: Why was everyone still when he came on the meadow?
Bambi's Mother: Everyone respects him. For of all the deer in the forest, not one has lived half so long. He's very brave and very wise. That's why he's known as the Great Prince of the Forest.

[Bambi and the rabbits come across a small flock of birds twittering in a tree. Bambi looks at them intriguingly]
Young Thumper: Those are birds.
Young Bambi: Bur... Bur!
Young Thumper: Look! He's trying to talk.
Young Bambi: Bur!
Girl Bunny: He's trying to say "bird".
Young Thumper: Say "bird".
[wiggles his nose]
Young Bambi: Bur...
[wiggles his nose]
Young Thumper: Bird.
Young Bambi: Bur!
Young Thumper: Uh-uh... bir-duh!
Other rabbits: [indistinctly] Come on, say "bird". Say "bird"!
Young Bambi: [inhales deeply, then throws everyone back by his yelling, including the birds] Bir-d!

Young Bambi: Bird, bird, bird, bird, bird, bir...!
[he sees a yellow butterfly, which he begins to chase until it lands on his tail]
Young Bambi: Bird!
Young Thumper: No, that's not a bird. That's a butterfly.
Young Bambi: Butterfly? Butter...
[Bambi sees the butterfly has now gone; he then runs over to a big yellow flower among some other wildflowers]
Young Bambi: Butterfly!
Young Thumper: [giggling] No, that's a flower.
Young Bambi: Flower?
Young Thumper: Uh-huh, it's purty.
[Thumper smells the flowers]
Young Bambi: Purty.
[Bambi starts smelling the flowers, and comes nose-to-nose with a little skunk]
Young Bambi: Flower!
Young Flower: Me?
Young Thumper: [laughing hysterically] No, no, no, no! That's not a flower! He's a little...
Young Flower: Oh, that's all right. He can call me a flower if he wants to.
[looks up briefly, then chuckles]
Young Flower: I don't mind.
Young Bambi: Purty. Purty *flower*!
Young Flower: Oh...
[he laughs]
Young Flower: Gosh.
