"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Venom (#7.18)" (2006)
Teresa Randall: [Fin brings Ken to his mother, Theresa's house from the police station] Oh, my God, what happened to you?
Ken Randall: It's not a big deal, Mom.
Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola: Yes it is. He got pinched on a Class E felony and two misdemenors.
Teresa Randall: For what? What do we need to do?
Ken Randall: Why are you asking him? I can handle this myself.
Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola: Yeah. Looks like you got it covered.
Ken Randall: [stares at Fin] I'm going to bed.
[Ken leaves; Theresa glares at Fin]
Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola: That look doesn't work on me anymore.
Teresa Randall: Our son was beaten and arrested and you couldn't pick up a phone?
Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola: I just found out myself. I'm looking for Darius. You know where I can find him?
Teresa Randall: What's he got to do with this?
Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola: What, something I should know?
Teresa Randall: Darius is poison and always will be. Of course, you were never around much and that hasn't changed.
Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola: You still ain't pulling punches. When I was working undercover, I warned you I'd be gone a lot.
Teresa Randall: You weren't gone a lot, you were just gone.
Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola: I must've been around sometime or is Ken not my son?
Teresa Randall: I see your lips moving, but I still haven't heard why he was in jail.
Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola: Ask him! It might not have been an issue if he had to use my last name.
Teresa Randall: [Theresa shows Fin the door] If you haven't heard, sperm donors don't get parental rights!
Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola: Cool. Just tell me where Darius is and I'm gone.
Teresa Randall: Al's Auto Body on Frederick Douglass.
[Fin leaves; Theresa shuts the door]

Teresa Randall: You and I need to talk.
Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola: Talk or yell?
Teresa Randall: That's up to you.

Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola: Prisons are full of innocent people and we both know what color most of them all.
Teresa Randall: You don't trust your own people?
Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola: I don't trust the system, not completely.

Teresa Randall: [to Fin about Ken] What you're doing isn't the answer. He needs direction. I can't teach him how to be a man by myself, Fin.
Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola: So what do you expect me to do?
Teresa Randall: Be his father, not his friend.

Teresa Randall: [to Fin] How'd you find out? Nobody knows Darius is my son. Not even Ken.
Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola: We checked Ken's DNA against what was left at the crime scene. You should have told me.
Teresa Randall: It happened before I met you.
Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola: So why'd you give him up?
Teresa Randall: He had to go somewhere. He certainly couldn't stay with me. I was 16 and his father was a bastard. You don't know what he did to me. Darius looks just like him. I guess he's starting to act like him too.
Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola: So why not put him up for adoption? Why give him to your mother to raise?
Teresa Randall: I didn't give her anything. She took. You knew her. She wouldn't allow blood out of the family.
Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola: Where's the father now?
Teresa Randall: I don't know. I hope he's dead.
Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola: What happened to you, Terry?
Teresa Randall: I will not... I won't talk about that. Not to you. Not to anyone.
Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola: Well, maybe that's the real problem.
Teresa Randall: You don't know what it's like to have to look at someone that has the face of someone you hate! Every time he came over to see Ken, every time he came to family functions, it made me sick. I can't stand to look at Darius. Even now.

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Screwed (#8.22)" (2007)
Teresa Randall: [to Ken] I asked you to help me and you bring a cop? Get out of here.
Ken Randall: I don't want you to go to jail.
Teresa Randall: I can't testify.
Detective John Munch: I know you're scared, but running will only make it worse.
Teresa Randall: Mind your own business.
Detective John Munch: This is my business if I have to arrest you for contempt.
Teresa Randall: I can't go into that courtroom.
Ken Randall: Darius is your son, Mom and you owe him.
Teresa Randall: I owe him nothing.
Detective John Munch: What are you afraid of, Terry?
Teresa Randall: I c... they are going to ask me about Darius' father.
Detective John Munch: Novak needs you to testify to put Darius in prison.
Teresa Randall: I don't care.
Detective John Munch: Fin's already boxed in. By running, you give them more ammunition. So how much pain are you willing to cause?
Teresa Randall: Get the hell out of my house.

Teresa Randall: I plead the Fifth, Your Honor.
Judge Elizabeth Donnelly: Will anything you say reveal criminal activity?
Teresa Randall: Yes.
Judge Elizabeth Donnelly: Well, let me be more specific. Will any testimony you give implicate yourself in any criminal activity?
Teresa Randall: No.
Judge Elizabeth Donnelly: Then you can't plead the Fifth. Proceed.
Teresa Randall: I'm sorry, but I refuse to answer any questions today or any other day.
Judge Elizabeth Donnelly: Then you leave me no choice. You are hereby remanded into custody until you comply. Bailiff, remove Ms. Randall.
Darius Parker: [Teresa is escorted out of the courtroom by the bailiff] See ya, Mom.

Teresa Randall: [to Olivia] I know what you want and I can't help you.
Detective Olivia Benson: Well, just how long do you intend to hide something that happened over 25 years ago? You were attacked and forced to have your rapist's baby, Terry. It's not your fault.
Teresa Randall: So I should just get over it, right?
Detective Olivia Benson: No. I'm still not over it.
Teresa Randall: You were raped?
Detective Olivia Benson: I'm the product of a rape.
Teresa Randall: Did your mother hate you too?
Detective Olivia Benson: No. My mother didn't know her rapist, but you did. Who did this to you?
Teresa Randall: My family is wrecked and you want me to get on that stand and finish him off.
Detective Olivia Benson: No. I'm just asking you to tell the truth.
Teresa Randall: I did. They wouldn't even listen to me. Couldn't tell my mother. It would have killed her.
Detective Olivia Benson: So you suffered this all alone.
Teresa Randall: I show up pregnant and my mother wouldn't let me get an abortion, so I had Darius.
Detective Olivia Benson: And now Darius is facing murder charges and may even get away with it if you don't speak up. Don't you at least owe it to Nina and that baby?

Darius Parker: [to Terry] What have I ever done to you, Ms. Randall?
Teresa Randall: You were born.
Darius Parker: So in fact, your hatred goes so deep that you would do anything, say anything to get rid of me. Isn't that true?
Teresa Randall: No. I've done a lot of things I'm not proud of, but I wouldn't lie.
Darius Parker: From your own testimony, that's all you've done. It's all you know how to do. One last question. If you were raped, then who did it?
Teresa Randall: I won't answer that question.
Darius Parker: Oh, you don't have a choice. You see, I have a right to know. We all do. Did you know your rapist?
Teresa Randall: You leave it alone, Darius. Trust me, you don't want to know. My father raped me.
Darius Parker: That's a lie!
Teresa Randall: My father raped me.
Darius Parker: That is a lie!
Teresa Randall: And I couldn't look at you and not be sick. No matter how much I hated you, Darius, I hated myself more. I know it's unfair. And I know it's not right, but it is the truth.
Darius Parker: Which part? That I'm your nephew or your son? That you feel guilty or that you want me dead? I submit you've told so many lies, not even you know what's true anymore.
