Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997)
Liu Kang: Rayden, you cannot die.
Rayden: I am proud to die... a mortal.

[Shao-Kahn has Sonya in a headlock]
Rayden: Kahn, you hide behind a human?
Shao Kahn: Why not, Lord Rayden? You've hidden behind them your entire pathetic life!

Jax: If your Father's an Elder God, what does that make Kahn?
Lord Rayden: Kahn is my brother.

Rayden: Years ago, my father had agreed that his heir to the family throne must be strong enough to kill his own brother in battle if necessary. I beat my brother, but I could not kill him. Only one thing is certain; Khan must die.
Liu Kang: This time, you're going to kill him.
Rayden: I could not then, I cannot now.
Liu Kang: So, what do we do?
Rayden: You will do your best! It is all that can be expected. I will pray for you all.

[Rayden is trying to open a portal to Outworld]
Rayden: My powers are leaving me.
Jax: [to Sonya] Who does this dude think he is? Moses parting the Red Sea?

Shao Kahn: You should have killed me... when you had the chance... brother.
Rayden: My brother died a long time ago. His heart, anyway.

[first lines]
Rayden: [narrating] Mortal Kombat is not about death, but rather the preservation of life. Liu Kang and a few chosen fighters from the Earth realm defeated Outworld sorcerer Shang Tsung. According to the rules of Mortal Kombat, their victory preserved the safety of the Earth for one more generation. Our chosen ones were returned to Liu Kang's home on Earth, only to enjoy a brief period of peace... for someone from Outworld has a different point of view.

Rayden: [noticing Jax's enhancements] What's the deal with your arms?
Jax: I've known you one minute and you dissin' me already?
Rayden: I mean no disrespect. You have real skills. Those arms aren't your strength, they're your weakness.
Jax: Show's what you know, these things right here, state of the art.
Rayden: Faith in yourself is all you need,
[to the others]
Rayden: and I say that to all of you.

Lord Rayden: [Coming into the Temple of the Elder Gods] I have come to the Eternal Palace. Because your sacred rules have been broken. Shao Kahn has invaded the Earth.
[Then, the dark place turns into the temple]
Elder God of Wind: As always Lord Rayden, you are granted 3 questions.
Lord Rayden: This one must be, why was this treachery ever allowed?
Elder Water God: We do not control the destiny of men.
Elder Fire God: Everybody possesses the ability to change their fate.
Lord Rayden: So, you will stand by and watch the ruination of Earth?
Elder God of Wind: You are correct, believing Princess Kitana is the key to closing Kahn's portals
Lord Rayden: But, if I reunited her with Sindel, how can I be sure that the portals will stay closed until the next tournament?
Elder Water God: Only if Shao Kahn is destroyed should the future be safe.
Elder God of Wind: By living amongst the humans, do you really care for them?
Lord Rayden: More than I can remember.
Elder Water God: Do you love them so much to sacrifice your immortality?
[Rayden thinks about his deicsion]

Mortal Kombat (1995)
Liu Kang: I guess you knew it would end this way.
Lord Rayden: Didn't have a clue.

[Johnny has challenged Goro]
Lord Rayden: What have you done?
Johnny Cage: I made a choice. This is OUR tournament, remember? Mortal Kombat. WE fight it!
[Johnny leaves, Rayden smiles]
Lord Rayden: Good. At last one of them has understood.

Lord Rayden: You're a coward, Sorcerer! Stand and fight!

Lord Rayden: [appears before Cage, Sonya and Liu Kang] Listen, what you are about to face is for more important than...
[to Cage]
Lord Rayden: your ego
[to Sonya]
Lord Rayden: your enemy
[to Liu Kang]
Lord Rayden: or your quest for revenge. You're about to embark on a secret mission. You have been chosen to defend the realm of Earth. In a tournament called Mortal Kombat.

Lord Rayden: I have looked into their souls... and yours. One of you three with determine the outcome of the tournament. The fate of billions depends upon you. Heh, heh, heh!
[resigned]
Lord Rayden: Sorry.

[last lines]
Shao Kahn: You weak, pathetic fools, I've come for your souls!
Lord Rayden: I don't think so.

[repeated line]
Lord Rayden: I don't think so.

Liu Kang: [At Grandfather] I had enough of this. I'm going to find my brother's killer at the tournament, with or without your consent.
Grandfather: [At Lord Rayden] He isn't ready my lord, and we lost so much time.
Lord Rayden: I know, but there's no one else.

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe (2008) (VG)
Superman: You don't fight for him.
Raiden: Neither do you.
Dark Kahn: Silence!
Superman: It seems we have a common enemy.
Raiden: And a common goal.
Dark Kahn: On your feet! This battle is not yet over! You will fight!
Superman: Don't give into the rage, Raiden. It can be overcome.
Raiden: Focus. We must focus.
Dark Kahn: What are you doing?
Raiden: If we fight together, we can channel his own energy and use it against him.
Superman: Sounds like a plan.
Dark Kahn: Face each other or face me. It makes no difference. You will FIGHT!

Superman: I'm Superman. We need to know your intentions.
Raiden: I am Raiden, God of Thunder. With me are the mightiest warriors in all the realms. We have come to challenge you in Mortal Kombat. You will be defeated.
Superman: Don't be so sure, Raiden. If you want a fight, you'll find my friends and I are up to the challenge.

Raiden: [Mortal Kombat Storyline ending]
[Raiden is now in Shao Kahn's Palace]
Raiden: Superman. He's gone.
[the others appear]
Raiden: Shao Kahn's throne room. The realms have been restored.
[Then, the group hears growling]
Kitana: Who are you?
Darkseid: I am Darkseid! I am Dark here.
[Tried to shoot lasers from his eyes, but fails]
Raiden: [Appears before Darkseid] If you're anything like Shao Kahn, you will find no refuge here. Your fate will be decided by the Elder Gods.
[Sends Darkseid to the Netherealm, where he is chained by two stone pillars]

Raiden: [Mortal Kombat Storyline first lines]
[Narrating]
Raiden: The Realms are in constant flux. They shift and change like an endless dream. Shao Kahn's defeat should've marked our victory against a threatened merge of Earthrealm and Outworld. Instead, it heralded a new struggle for independence.
Quan Chi: [Shao Kahn comes out of a portal with Quan Chi following after him] Shinnok will be displeased with your inability to take Earthrealm.
Shao Kahn: [With great anger, Shao Kahn slams his hammer to the ground] Hold your tongue, scorcerer.
[Then, Raiden appears]
Shao Kahn: Raiden!
Raiden: [Using his lightning ability to subdue Shao Kahn] Your invasion of Earthrealm has violated the rules of Mortal Kombat, Shao Kahn. Your Tarkatan horde has been routed by the forces of light. Even now, your allies dessert you.
Shao Kahn: [Seeing Quan Chi trying to escape through a portal] Quan Chi, traitor!
[Runs after Quan Chi and hits him with his hammer, than Raiden uses his lightning to pin Shao Kahn to the portal]
Shao Kahn: What have you done?
[Then, Shao kahn disappears]
Raiden: [Aproaches Quan Chi] Earthrealm will never succumb to the forces of darkness, Quan Chi. Now, you'll face the judgment of the Elder Gods.
[Sends Quan Chi to the Netherrealm]

Batman: [Having Liu Kang tied up in the UN Space Station] Computer, match the blood of Liu Kang with any of the known alien DNA that we have in the data base.
[the computer could not match Liu Kang's blood with any of the alien DNA]
Batman: Hmmm. I need to know that if I can expect anymore...
[Alarm sounds]
Batman: visitors.
Raiden: [Appears] You will release Liu Kang at once.
[Zaps Batman who gets up easily]
Batman: Let me guess, you are from the same world as Liu Kang and Scorpion.
Raiden: How is it possible?
Batman: Insulated armor.
Raiden: Release Liu Kang.
Batman: First, I need answers.
Raiden: Rlease Liu Kang, or I will take him from you.
Batman: [after Batman defeats Raiden, Raiden gets up and goes to Liu Kang and escapes with him, then Batman sees Earth with yellow lines cutting through it] Its worse than I expected. Much worse.

Raiden: The Lin Kuei are not welcome here.
Sub-Zero: [Bows to Raiden] Raiden, I've come seeking assistance.
Raiden: Really, to what end? Your kind has challenged me before.
Sub-Zero: Please, I am not my brother.
Raiden: But, you are still Lin Kuei, fight!

Sonya Blade: We couldn't stop them either. They overpowered us.
Raiden: How can this be?
Kano: There's a skinny one. Dressed in purple with green hair. Stronger than you think.
Scorpion: I've faced him before. A jester with a twisted face.
[Then, Liu Kang and Shang Tsung appear]
Shang Tsung: A clown? You were defeated by a clown?
Liu Kang: It might be what you said, Shang Tsung. Powers fluxing.
Kano: [Gives into the Kombat Rage and points at Liu Kang] I don't need you to make excuses for me,
[Then points at Shang Tsung]
Kano: and I don't need your approval!
Liu Kang: [Gets in Kano's way] Kano, calm down.
Kano: [Pushes Liu Kang aside] You can't handle them, couldn't even handle me!
Shang Tsung: We shall see.

Mortal Kombat (2011) (VG)
Shao Kahn: [Intro] Where are the Elder Gods, Raiden?
[Walks towards a defeated Raiden and picks him up]
Shao Kahn: Their pathetic Mortal Kombat shackles me no longer.
[Punches Raiden in the face several times and then throws him, while in the air Raiden's amulet hits the ground and shatters]
Shao Kahn: They masquerade as dragons, but are mere *toothless* worms.
[Kahn's hammer appears in his left hand and puts his right foot on Raiden]
Shao Kahn: My venom spreads. It is the end of all things.
[Kahn then glows red with fire]
Shao Kahn: Armageddon.
Raiden: [In desperation] Stop!
Shao Kahn: [Picks up Raiden] It is done. Your time has passed.
[Throws Raiden]
Shao Kahn: Ages wasted in foolish resistance. Now is the dawn of *my* rule.
[Kahn laughs as Raiden picks up what is left of his amulet and begins to speak something in a asian-like language]
Shao Kahn: Yes. Pray to the world. As your world ends.
[Kahn then raises his hammer]
Raiden: [His amulet glows as his eyes turn blue] He... must win.
[as Kahn's hammer hits Raiden, the events of the Mortal Kombat timeline flashback until it reaches to the beginning of the Earthrealm tournament]
Liu Kang: [Seeing Raiden flinch] Lord Raiden, what is wrong?
Raiden: Strange visions.
[Then, strange noises occur and Raiden takes off his amulet and notices it has cracked]
Liu Kang: Your amulet.
Raiden: It is nothing, Liu Kang. The tournament begins.

Raiden: [after seeing Johnny Cage defeat Baraka] You fought well.
Johnny Cage: Thanks. Nice hat.
Liu Kang: You should be more respectful of Lord Raiden. He's the protector of Earthrealm. The God of Thunder, the...
Johnny Cage: [Interrupts] Look. I don't know what kind of role playing you guys are into, but count me out.
Liu Kang: [Johnny is about to walk away but Liu Kang stops him] This tournament is more than a chance for personal glory. We are fighting for the very surivial of Earthrealm.
Johnny Cage: What are you talking about?
Raiden: Your last opponent was Tarkatan. He was born with those blades.
Johnny Cage: [Not believing a word Raiden is saying] Yeah. Those things are real.
Raiden: He represents Outworld. Had you lost, the Emperor Shao Kahn would come 1 step closer to physically absorbing *our* world into his.
Johnny Cage: Outworld, yeah. Right, right.
Raiden: The Elder Gods created the Mortal Kombat tournament to give Earthrealm a chance to defend itself. But if we lose this time, Shao Kahn will conquer all.
Johnny Cage: [Shrugs off Raiden] Dun, dun, duuuuunnnn. Look, guys. I'm an actor. I save the world for the cameras. If this emperor is *really* a threat? Call the military. Me? I've got a date with a blonde. Ciao.
[Walks away]
Liu Kang: What do you see in him?
Raiden: He is a hero, Liu Kang. Though he may not yet know it.

Raiden: [approaches Kung Lao, who is disguised as one of Shang Tsung's Masked Guards] I know it is you, Kung Lao. The Shaolin Minks chose Liu Kang to represent your order in the tournament.
Kung Lao: [slightly annoyed] I am Liu Kang's equal.
Raiden: That remains to be seen.
Kung Lao: Watch and see.
[removes his disguise]
Kung Lao: I accept the challenge.
Liu Kang: [surprised] Kung Lao?
Kung Lao: Never mind the Lin Kuei. Now you face a Shaolin.
[Fights Scorpion]

Smoke: [after being saved from cyborgs] Thank You, Lord Raiden. I am called Smoke. Why are you here in Outworld?
Raiden: To participate in a tournament to save Earthrealm. Join us Smoke.
Smoke: Forgive me, but if Sektor was searching for me then he is hunting Sub-Zero as well.
Johnny Cage: Sub-Zero? Call me crazy with a K... but didn't we see him die?
Smoke: The Grand Master intends to turn every Lin Kuei into a cyborg. My friend is in danger.
Raiden: The Tournament. I have a feeling your friend will be there.

Johnny Cage: There she is. Sonya, you alright? Hey, looks like you found him.
[Salutes]
Johnny Cage: What's up, Sarge?
Sonya Blade: He's a m...
[Seeing Raiden coming in and attending to Jax]
Sonya Blade: Hey, what are you doing?
Johnny Cage: It's okay. He's cool.
Sonya Blade: Jax.
Johnny Cage: Seriously, he's cool.
[Raiden uses his powers to heal Jax]
Jax Briggs: That's amazing.
Johnny Cage: Told 'ya. Turns out, he's a god.
Sonya Blade: Thank you, Raiden.
Raiden: Graditude is unnecessary. I have forseen events, like memories of my future. They lead me to believe that you are all connected to Earthrealm's fate.
Liu Kang: What have you forseen?
Raiden: In my visions, Shao Kahn becomes invincible. He destroys all life in Earthrealm. We will all die. I believe these flashes are a guide to defeat Shao Kahn. But disrupting the flow of time could have serious consequences
Johnny Cage: I'm not worried. I bet you can win this thing no problem.
Raiden: Unless directly challenged, I can not participate.
Johnny Cage: What should we do, instead of standing around looking pretty?
Raiden: For now, the tournament must run it's course.
Sonya Blade: Alright, then. We're with you, Raiden.

Kitana: [after defeating Johnny Cage and Smoke] Shao Kahn wants death to follow Kombat. I will give it to him.
Raiden: [Coming in] Perhaps Liu Kang was wrong about you. Or perhaps he's sensed like I do, that there is conflict within you.
[Helps up Cage]
Johnny Cage: Thanks.
[Bends his neck]
Johnny Cage: Ow. You couldn't have seen *that* in one of your hot flashes?
Raiden: Something wispers to you that circumstances should be different. That *you* should be different. You are much more like Sindel than Shao Kahn.
[Then Raiden has a vision of Sindel]
Raiden: But, she is dead.
Kitana: My mother *is* dead, yes. Why do you...
Raiden: [Interrupts] You need answers, Kitana. I can help you find them if you will trust in me. Go to Shang Tsung's flesh pits. Much will be revealed there.
Kitana: The flesh pits? But, I'm forbidden to...
Raiden: [interrupts again] Yes, you are, and why is that?
Kitana: I don't know. Tell me.
Raiden: You must discover your true path... alone

Kung Lao: [after celebrating after his victories with the Outworld audience booing him] See Raiden, Earthrealm is fre...
[Shao Kahn steps in and breaks Kung Lao's neck]
Raiden: Kung Lao!
Liu Kang: No!
Raiden: I will rip the flesh from your bones!
[Liu Kang comes in and wrestles Kahn to the ground]
Shao Kahn: Witless boy. Do you know who I am?
Liu Kang: The murderer of my friend.
Shao Kahn: I am Shao Kahn! Conquorer of worlds! You will taste no victory.
Liu Kang: You will taste your won blood.
[Fights Kahn and defeats him]
Liu Kang: On your feet!
[His left fist glows with fire]
Liu Kang: For Kung Lao, the Shaolin and Earthrealm!
[Liu Kang then punches Kahn in the chest and Kahn falls to the ground dead]
Shang Tsung: I can not believe. Earthrealm has won.
[the sky then glows]
Raiden: The Elder Gods have spoken. Earthrealm is free from Shao Kahn forever. But the price of victory was almost too steep to pay. Kung Lao's death was my fault. I encouraged him. Our triumph was not meant to be achieved this way.
[to Liu Kang]
Raiden: I see now "he must win" must refer to you. But to prevent Armageddon, you needed to defeat Shao Kahn, not Shang Tsung.
[Raiden then takes off his amulet to look at it, only to find it cracks further]
Raiden: It can not be. Shao Kahn is dead. But the future remains unchanged.

"Mortal Kombat: Conquest: The Serpent and the Ice (#1.15)" (1999)
Siro: Sub-Zero?
Kung Lao: He disappeared. What about the ones you chased?
Siro: Two less Lin Kueis to worry about.
Rayden: [appears out of thin air] There's plenty more where they came from.
Taja: Yeah, and I'd like to see 'em all dead.

Kung Lao: Anything else you'd like?
Rayden: Tall blonde and a couple of weeks off. But I suppose that's not gonna happen, especially now.

Siro: We get our hands on every weapon we can and fight.
Kung Lao: But I still don't think we can beat them.
Rayden: You like the alternative?
Taja: Damn it, Rayden. Would you stop being the bearer of doom and help us out here?

Taja: Drop in and screw up our lives again soon.
Rayden: Classic case of kill the messenger.

Rayden: You're going to meet Sub-Zero's family.
Kung Lao: Yeah. Like you said, get to know the enemy.
Rayden: Well, that's good, the world is about to drop in on your head and you're going off to meet Mommy and Daddy. You think they'll convince their son not to turn you into an ice ball?
Kung Lao: No.
Rayden: Good answer, because you're up to your armpits in trouble, pal.
Kung Lao: Yeah, I know.
Rayden: Sub-Zero *and* Scorpion.
Kung Lao: Got it.
Rayden: On a scale of one to ten, ten being the most trouble, you're an eleven.
Kung Lao: Is that why you came here? To remind me how truly hideous things are?
Rayden: Pretty much.
Kung Lao: You need to get a hobby or something.
Rayden: Have one. It's you.
Kung Lao: Lucky me.
Rayden: Glad you appreciate it. Give my love to the Zeros.

Kung Lao: Do you think it's possible he's become sort of an ally?
Rayden: Interesting thought. Together you would be a match for almost anything Outworld could throw at you.
Kung Lao: Should I ask him?
Rayden: Suit yourself. Just remember, Sub-Zero's complex enough. And his life has just become more complicated. Yes, he actually could be your friend... but he could be also kill you in a second.
Kung Lao: Thanks again, for a definitive answer.
Rayden: Just doing my job.

"Mortal Kombat: Conquest: Vengeance (#1.22)" (1999)
Rayden: I found your invasion route, now remove it.
Shao Kahn: When it's served its purpose. The day of reckoning is here, Rayden. Enemies will fall. Names will be erased from memory.
Rayden: You can do nothing here.
Shao Kahn: Will you stop me?
Rayden: Yes! I am Rayden. God of Thunder! And Protector of Earthrealm.
Shao Kahn: And I am Shao Kahn. Conqueror of realms and Emperor of Outworld!

Rayden: You're losing your mind, Shao Kahn, the Elder Gods will never allow you to take Earthrealm.
Shao Kahn: Great rulers take great risks. When I have Earthrealm, when I've combined its powers with those of Outworld, then... then even the Elder Gods will be forced to respect me and fear me.
Rayden: You are mad.
Shao Kahn: Perhaps I am. But if so, my madness also comes with a gift.
Rayden: What gift? Stupidity.
Shao Kahn: Wisdom, Rayden. The ability to understand who my enemies are and what I must do.

Shao Kahn: What if I... stepped through that portal... right now?
Rayden: The Elder Gods would destroy you.
Shao Kahn: You're sure? The decree was only that I couldn't take Earthrealm. I had to fight for it.
Rayden: In Mortal Kombat.
Shao Kahn: Maybe that too is merely a myth: a futile attempt to keep me out.
Rayden: You know that's not true. It's the law of the gods. Besides, you'd never make it to the opening. You'd have to go through me.
Shao Kahn: Ah, yes. I have to deal with you.

"Mortal Kombat: Conquest: Warrior Eternal (#1.1)" (1998)
[first lines]
Rayden: Kung Lao, a humble young man with the heart of a great warrior. Soon that heart will be tested. As he fights for his home: The Earthrealm. Kung Lao will make his stand in the tournament called Mortal Kombat. Here, the Elder Gods grant the greatest fighters of the universe the right to defend their own realms against warriors of the dark realm called Outworld. The rules are simple. Every generation, the chosen fighters from each side are transported to Shang Tsung's island, an outpost between realms. If they lose their battle, their realm falls to darkness forever, absorbed in the desolate expanse of Outworld. Another victory for its Emperor Shao Kahn. Over centuries of kombat, Kahn's champion, Shang Tsung, has remained undefeated, laying to waste an untold number of fighters with his sorcery. Earth is the jewel of the universe. A young, vast, pristine, realm whose inhabitants have not yet begun to comprehend the power it holds. I am Rayden, God of Thunder, Protector of the Earthrealm. Not an easy job, believe me

Shao Kahn: He is worthless and weak. Finish him.
Kung Lao: No. Listen to me. When the next tournament comes, remember what you saw here today. The people of Earth are not murderers. In respect of the Elder Gods and the laws of Mortal Kombat... I choose... mercy.
Rayden: Nice speech.
Shang Tsung: You should have killed me, Kung Lao.

Rayden: Up at dawn. Filled with anger. Not much of a rest.
Kung Lao: Someone is tormenting me.
Rayden: Any suspects?
Kung Lao: Someone or something is inside my head, turning all my thoughts to darkness.
Rayden: There's no one inside your head, Kung Lao, no one but you. What you are seeing is no doubt a premonition of your future, a fate yet unwritten but clouded with fear.
Kung Lao: Haven't I earned the right to just be happy for a change?
Rayden: Shao Kahn has not been defeated. His claim to Earth has merely been postponed. What you have earned, Kung Lao, is the right to be a leader, to find and train a new generation of fighters to stand at your side in the next tournament. It is one path, Kung Lao, if you so choose. But remember, in Mortal Kombat, victory is not the end...
Kung Lao: It's only the beginning. Why can't you teach the new fighters?
Rayden: This is not my world. Not my responsibility. The key to Earth's victory lies in the human spirit.
Kung Lao: So you want me to just turn away from everything. What about my dreams of happiness with Jen? Do you want me to give up my whole life?
Rayden: There are rewards. The Elder Gods have granted you that you will not age another day until the next tournament.
Kung Lao: Tell me, Rayden, would you rather be old and happy or young and cursed? If my future is unwritten like you say, then I'll write it the way I want it, from now on!

"Mortal Kombat: Conquest: Shadow of a Doubt (#1.12)" (1999)
Kung Lao: I thought she was Kitana.
Rayden: Well, of course you did. She was perfect. Except maybe for the fangs, the bulging forehead...
Kung Lao: Stop it, okay?
Rayden: And that lizard skin.
Kung Lao: Damn it, Rayden, I didn't know.
Rayden: Yeah, but when you found out, whew! Talk about rolling over in the morning after a bad night at the tavern.

Rayden: Kung Lao, one more thing, it's important. Exactly how long were her front teeth?

Mortal Kombat X (2015) (VG)
Kotal Kahn: You have no chance, thunder god.
Raiden: Thunder blots out the sun.
Kotal Kahn: Temporarily...

Raiden: [Last Lines, story mode] Too long have I allowed Earthrealm to endure the horrors of war. Time and again we've defeated our enemies. But we've exacted no retribution. Demanded no remuneration. What have we gained for our mercy? More intrigue. More senseless violence. As new rulers of the Netherrealm, heed me. No longer will I simply defend Earthrealm. I will seek out and destroy all who threaten it. No mercy will be shown. No quarter given. Shinnok was an Elder God. Impossible to kill. There are fates worse than death.

"Mortal Kombat: Legacy: Raiden (#1.6)" (2011)
Raiden: Let me out of this place.
Dr. Gadsen: You know we're unable to do that.
Raiden: You don't understand. If you don't let me go...
Dr. Gadsen: Yes, you've explained this to me before. The Earth will be overtaken by... Shao Kahn.
Raiden: Yes. And if you don't let attend the Mortal Kombat tournament... I promise you, all of you will die.
Dr. Gadsen: I'm here to help you. Trust in me that I can do that.
Raiden: No. Let me go!
Dr. Gadsen: Today we're trying something new, Lord Raiden. Something that should free you of your delusions.

"Mortal Kombat: Conquest: Noob Saibot (#1.6)" (1998)
Kung Lao: Did you say you know him? You know this thing?
Rayden: His name's Noob Saibot He's from a distant realm.
Taja: Isn't everyone nowadays?
Rayden: Shao Kahn banished him. Even I didn't know he was in Earthrealm.
Siro: What is he?
Rayden: A ninja, with amazing powers.
Taja: Correction, a dead ninja.
Rayden: You're certain of that?
Taja: Well, he has to be. He blew up in flames. Nothing could survive that.
Rayden: Pray you're right.

"Mortal Kombat: Conquest: Cold Reality (#1.3)" (1998)
Rayden: So talk.
Kung Lao: Where have you been?
Rayden: Living my life. How about you?
Kung Lao: This is serious. I called and you didn't come.
Rayden: What's it been, five minutes? What'd you expect, call and get instant god?

"Mortal Kombat: Conquest: Warrior Eternal: Part II (#1.2)" (1998)
Siro: So where do we start looking?
Kung Lao: Everywhere. She may have been taken to Outworld.
Siro: Outworld? Where's that?
Kung Lao: It's another realm, another dimension. It's hard to explain.
Taja: Well, let me guess. Outworld is where your Thunder God lives.
Rayden: Don't make me laugh. I wouldn't be caught dead in Outworld. Fortunately, immortals can't die.

"Mortal Kombat: Conquest: Kreeya (#1.16)" (1999)
Taja: I'm telling you, if women ran the world, we would not have the problems we have.
Siro: No. We would have a different set. Right?
Kung Lao: Okay, here's what I think. Women are just a capable as men.
Taja: See?
Kung Lao: And that includes being just as capable of screwing things up.
Rayden: Or at least shaking things up.
