Sayid used to serve in the Republican Army in Iraq and was an officer who tortured prisoners. He even used his torture tactics on one of the other survivors. Shortly after, he decided to leave the camp because he was so disappointed in himself for torturing someone, because years before he had vowed to never use that kind of tactic on anyone ever again. On his trek alone on the island, he discovers something... or someone. Watch to find out!
