"Angel: Darla (#2.7)" (2000)
Darla: You took him from me. You stole him away. You gave him a soul.
Gypsy Man: He must suffer, as all his victims have suffered.
Darla: That is no justice. Whatever pain he caused to your daughter was momentary, over in an instant... or an hour. But what you've done to him will force him to suffer for the rest of eternity!

Darla: Lindsey. You never talk about yourself, Lindsey. You have a girlfriend? Boyfriend? Someone special?
Lindsey McDonald: There's no one.
Darla: No. No, there really isn't, is there? You can be with someone for a hundred and fifty years. Think you know them. Still, doesn't work out. Angelus. Oh, you should have seen us together.
Lindsey McDonald: He was a different person then.
Darla: And so was I... Now do you know what we've become?
Lindsey McDonald: Enemies.
Darla: Oh, no. Much worse. Now we're soul mates.
[laughs]

Darla: Do you even know what I am?
The Master: [disguised as a priest] A woman of some property. No husband. No inheritance. Yes. I know what you are.
Darla: I'm a whore.
The Master: [disguised as a priest] Well, yes, that too. You should have asked for a priest long ago, child. Your life may have been the better for it.
Darla: And you should have paid me a visit before today, Father. Your life may have been more interesting because of it.

Darla: You're death?
The Master: No.
Darla: What, then?
The Master: I'm your savior. God never did anything for you... But I will...
[bites her]

The Master: [talking about Angelus] Angelus? The Latinate for "Angel". It's marvelous!
Darla: His name would already be a legend in his home village - had he left anyone alive there to tell the tale.

Darla: [looking at a dead body] So beautiful. Not a blemish, not a freckle. Perhaps we should have preserved that beauty for eternity-?
Angel: [as Angelus] Still, - he won't now age.
Darla: No, but he'll rot. Seems a pity.
Drusilla: When I bit into him, I could hear the ocean.
Darla: Of course you could.
Drusilla: I'm full and warm, yet all alone.
Angel: [as Angelus] That's not true, precious. You've got us.
Drusilla: Not in the least. You won't even hurt me just a little bit.
Darla: All you have to do is ask.
Drusilla: No. His head's too full of you, Grandmother.
Darla: Stop calling me that.
Drusilla: Don't be cross. I could be your mummy...
Angel: Well, if you're lonely, Dru, why don't you make yourself a playmate?
Drusilla: I could! I could pick the wisest and bravest knight in all the land and make him mine forever with a kiss.
Spike: [walking past] Bloody... watch where you're going!
Darla: Or you could just take the first drooling idiot that comes along.

Lindsey McDonald: Darla?
Darla: Say that again?
Lindsey McDonald: I just uh... I said, your name... Darla.
Darla: It sounds so odd, doesn't it?
Lindsey McDonald: I don't know what you mean-.
Darla: It wasn't my name when I was human. First time I was human, I mean.
Lindsey McDonald: What was your name?
Darla: [without sentiment] I don't remember. I'm not her, whoever she was. I was Darla for so long. And then... I wasn't. I wasn't anything. I just... stopped. He killed me, and I was done. But then you brought me back.
Lindsey McDonald: Yes...
Darla: What did you bring back, Lindsey? What am I? Did you bring back that girl, whose name I can't remember?... Or did you bring back something else? The other thing?
Lindsey McDonald: Both. Neither. You're just you... whatever that is.
Darla: Why haven't you kissed me? You've been dying for it, haven't you?
Lindsey McDonald: I didn't know if you wanted me to...
Darla: Why should that matter? Do you think I ever hesitated when I wanted something? Life's too short. Believe me. I know. Four hundred years, and still too short.

Drusilla: Pretty music. Pretty, pretty music. They cry out for mercy. They cry out for mercy.
Darla: Show none.

Angel: [on phone] Darla?
Darla: [on phone] My boy. - My darling boy...
Angel: [on phone] Where are you?
Darla: [on phone] Better question: - Where was I? I don't remember anything. It's a great big nothing. Could it be there's no hell?
Angel: [on phone] There's a hell. A few of them. I've been to one.

Darla: [to Angel] While Spike... Spike, was out killing a Slayer, you were saving missionaries.
[sounding hurt]
Darla: From me!

Darla: [seeing Angel] Angelus...
Cordelia Chase: Umm... sorry, I know you're Concussion Gal, and all, but around here it's Angel. Just Angel, okay?

Darla: Then turn me back! My God! I can't bear this pounding in my chest for another instant!
Angel: It's a gift... to feel that heartbeat. To know, really and for once, that you're alive. You're human again, Darla. Do you know what that means?
Darla: Of course I do. It means pain, and suffering and disease and death! Look, I released you from this world once. I gave you eternal life. Now it's time for you to return the favor.
Angel: Favor? Is that what you think? You think you did me a favor?
[pause]
Angel: You damned me.

[last lines]
Angel: I can't...
Darla: ...What do you mean, you can't? You won't.
Angel: I can't seem to be what I'm not... I'm sorry.
Darla: You disgust me.
Angel: Darla, wait.
Darla: No! Don't look for me again.

Darla: [to Drucilla and Spike] So, where have you two been?
Drusilla: May I tell?
Spike: No need to be humble.
Drusilla: My little Spike just killed himself a Slayer!
Darla: [to Angelus] Did you hear that?
Angel: [as Angelus - not pleased] Congratulations. I guess that makes you one of us.
Spike: Don't be so glum, mate. The way you tell it, one Slayer snuffs it, another rises. I figure there's a new Chosen One, getting all chosen as we speak. I'll tell you what: if and when this new bird shows up, - I'll give you first crack at her.
Drusilla: I smell fear...
Angel: [as Angelus] This whole place reeks of it.
Drusilla: It's intoxicating.
Angel: Let's get out of here. This rebellion's starting to bore me.

Lindsey McDonald: Are you hungry? I can run down the hall and grab some sandwiches from the vending machine, if you want? It's not exactly gourmet cuisine, but...
Holland Manners: Lindsey.
Lindsey McDonald: Holland...
Holland Manners: Darla, how are you?
Darla: I'm fine, Holland. Good to see you.
Holland Manners: Always a pleasure. Lindsay. A word.
[to Darla]
Holland Manners: You'll excuse us.
Lindsey McDonald: I'll be right outside.

"Angel: Dear Boy (#2.5)" (2000)
Angel: [as Angelus, about Drucilla] We'll turn her into one of us. Killing is so merciful in the end, isn't it? The pain is ended.
Darla: But to make her one of us?... She's a lunatic.
Angel: [as Angelus] Eternal torment.

Darla: But I'm still me. I remember everything, Angel. Everything we did, everything we can do.

Angel: The bitch is, you have a soul now. Pretty soon, those memories are gonna start eatin' away at you. No matter how hard you try, you won't be able to escape the truth of what you were. Believe me, I know.
Darla: But you *can* escape. You can escape it all. Remember what it's like to get lost, huh? Every thought a million miles away, every part of your being alive! All you have to do is let me give you one little moment of happiness.
Angel: You took me places, and showed me things, huh? You blew the top off my head. But you never made me happy.
Darla: But that - that cheerleader did? We were together a hundred and fifty years! We shared everything. You're saying never?
Angel: You couldn't understand.
Darla: I understand, alright. Guy gets taste of something fresh, and he thinks he's touching God.
Angel: It wasn't about...
Darla: Oh, you bet your ass it was! There was a time, in the early years, when you would have said I was the definition of bliss! Buffy wasn't happiness. She was just new!

Darla: What a poster child for soulfulness you are! This is no life, Angel. Before you got neutered, you just weren't any vampire, you were a legend. Nobody could keep up with you. Not even me. And you don't learn that kind of darkness. It's innate. It was in you before we ever met. And you said you can smell me? Well, I can smell you too. And my boy is still in there and he wants out.

Angel: [as Angelus] The one in the middle is something delicate and unique. Did you find me a saint?
Darla: Better than that. She has the sight.
Angel: [as Angelus] Visions. She sees the future. She is pure innocence. Yet, she sees what's coming. She knows what I'll do to her.

Darla: Down boy, let the plum ripen.
Angelus: You always come up with somethin' new.
Darla: Keeps me young.

Lindsey McDonald: You've given us more information on Angel than we had when he first got here. Nobody knows him better than you. Especially the side we're interested in.
Darla: So, what is the plan exactly? I tease him to death?

Darla: [about Lindsey's plastic hand] He did that to you. What's it feel like?
Lindsey McDonald: Doesn't feel like anything.
Darla: Can I?
[touches the fake hand]
Darla: It's very smooth. You don't feel anything?
Lindsey McDonald: Not in my hand. How is it? Seeing him again?
Darla: Strange.
Lindsey McDonald: He betrayed you.
Darla: Everyone betrays you. That's not what eats at you in the long winter's night.
Lindsey McDonald: Yeah? What does?
Darla: Missed opportunities. He got a soul and it sickened me. All that power wasted on a whiny, mopey do-gooder. God, I could eat his eyeballs.
Lindsey McDonald: Our plans for Angel are a little more long-term than that, but if you can't help yourself, then, by all means, be my guest.
Darla: You're fun for a human.

Darla: If you don't shut up, I'm going to kill you!

Angel: You're gonna feel it, you know. What you did. That man you got killed.
Darla: Oh, please. He was an actor.
Angel: I'm serious.
Darla: Yeah, like a heart attack. And just about as much fun.
Angel: Darla, you hurt anyone else and I'll kill you.
Darla: Will you? Isn't that against your Cub Scout code?
Angel: I'll make an exception.

Darla: [to Angel, after burning him with a cross] You see, no matter how good a boy you are, God doesn't want you! But I still do.

Darla: What? No goodbye kiss?

Angel: Stop!
Darla: No, you stop!

"Angel: Offspring (#3.7)" (2001)
[a local mother sees the pregnant Darla walk off with a little boy]
Mother: You're a brave woman. About to have one, taking the other one out to play.
Darla: Oh, I love children. I could just... eat 'em up.

Darla: You so wanna play the good guy, don't you? Yeah, you're the good guy who did this to me! You may have the face, but you don't know the hunger. It pounds! You can't make it go away! You can't stop it!
Angel: I'll stop it!

Angel: Darling...?
Darla: What?
Angel: ...Shouldn't we be killing Holtz?
Darla: I know. But it's just so much fun ruining his life. He's like family now.

Darla: [to Bus Driver] Right here's fine. Thanks for the lift. That didn't take long at all. And they say there's no public transportation in L.A.

Cordelia Chase: Hey, what are friends for?
Darla: You ask me, they're for knocking you up and leaving you high and dry.
[to Angel]
Darla: Hello, lover. Long time no see.

Darla: [seeing the pregnant Darla] This is impossible.
Angel: Tell me about it, Daddy.
Cordelia Chase: You slept with her?

Darla: [to Angel] What did you do to me?

Cordelia Chase: What can we do for you?
Darla: Well, you can get your little gang of supernatural detectives to find out what the hell is happening to me and how to stop it.
Cordelia Chase: [to Angel] Are you going to take some responsibility here? Angel?
Angel: Oh, me? Of course I am. Wes, let's get on this right now.
Wesley Wyndam-Pryce: What do you suggest?
Angel: I suggest you ah, use your books and find out what's going on. What do I have to think of everything?
Wesley Wyndam-Pryce: [opening a book] Oh, here it is. It says: "I have absolutely no idea what's going on". We should talk to The Host.

Darla: [singing] Oh, Danny Boy, what the Hell's inside me?
Lorne: Oh, no, no, no, no, no. We're way beyond singing mes enfants. This is a brand new day, here. Alright, everybody. That's a wrap. We'll finish the spell tomorrow. We got a little crisis brewing. Thanks for coming. Check's in the mail. Get the hell out.
Fury #1: Bye, Angel...
Fury #2: ...Come see...
Fury #3: ...Us soon.
Fury #1, Fury #2, Fury #3: Mmmm...
Cordelia Chase: [to Lorne] Men.

Cordelia Chase: How are you feeling?
Darla: Just crazy.
Cordelia Chase: What?
Darla: Why would anyone bring something into the world?
Cordelia Chase: I was pregnant once. I was out to here overnight. Mystical thing. I didn't go to term, but while it lasted, woo... talk about uncomfortable. Your back and legs hurt all the time. And first, you're sick to your stomach and you can't eat anything in the world. And then you're ravenous. Are you able to eat, or do you just...
Darla: What? Drink?

Darla: Go on, do it. Do it! Do it, do it! It won't stop!
Angel: No, it won't. Darla, it won't. Darla, Darla...
Darla: It won't stop!
Angel: Listen, it has a soul.
Darla: What?
Angel: The child. The child has a heart beat, it has a soul.
Darla: Not my child!
Angel: Our child, our child. That's why you've been craving pure, pure blood. That's why it's been driving you out of your mind! It has a soul.
Darla: No, it doesn't.
Angel: It does.
Darla: It can't.
Angel: Yes, it does. Yes, it does.

"Angel: Redefinition (#2.11)" (2001)
Darla: See, Lindsey, during my stint as Wolfram & Hart's puppet, something occurred to me: I loath being used. If I recall, I sent you a fifteen-body memo to that effect.

Lilah Morgan: We're no good to you dead, Darla. The Senior Partners are looking for someone to blame for your massacre.
Darla: But, surely they wouldn't kill the both of you. Seems like such a waste.

Lindsey McDonald: This power that you want, does it have a target? You going after Angel?
Darla: Don't say that. Not everything is about Angel, Lindsey. I just want to have some fun.
Lindsey McDonald: Well, you see I'm surprised, because I thought that you would make him your top priority.
Darla: I spent two hundred and fifty years without Angel. You think just because i went through a little human phase, I'd go all gooey?
Lindsey McDonald: No. No, I thought you'd kill him.
Darla: All in good time, my love. All in good time.

Darla: Wow, that was something. But violence without victims? See, that's where you lose me.
Demon: Who the hell are you?
Darla: My name is Darla. This is Drusilla. We're new in town, though some of you know us by reputation.
Demon: I ain't never heard of you before.
[Drusilla rips his ears off]
Darla: Now you never will. I trust we have everyone's attention. Good. We've come with a little proposition.

Darla: As I was saying, if you think you have what it takes to join us, auditions are tonight, here, at this address. Winners will have the opportunity to foment mass destruction. Losers will be gutted and left for dead. Have a nice night.
[to Drucilla]
Darla: Come on.

Angel: [voice over] I'm not ready.
Darla: Angel.
Angel: [voice over] I can still feel her. Her pain. Her need. Her hope. I'm too close. Too close to fight her.

Drusilla: He won't leave.
Darla: I don't wanna hear this.
Drusilla: We could have a thousand soldiers, and still he'd come... Galloping, galloping, still he'll come.
Darla: Why is everybody trying to make this about Angel? I mean, for God's sake, can't a woman wreak a little havoc without there being a man involved?
Drusilla: You miss him, like a heartbeat.
Darla: I don't miss my heartbeat, Dru. It was a symptom of a disease I've since been cured of. You know, in a perfect world, Angel would be here right now helping me burn this city to the ground. This is his job I'm doing. But where is he? Probably flogging himself in a church somewhere.
Drusilla: Ooh, flogging! Ooh, churches...
Darla: In a perfect world, we'd be slaughtering the innocent. Laughing, as we rain destruction on this whole miserable town.
Drusilla: I see such pretty fire.
Darla: Fire. Conflagration. In a perfect world, they'd be nothing left here but ashes.
Drusilla: And pain. So much suffering. The flames are lovely. They dance, and the fire licks like a cat. And the screams. Oh, it's like star music.
Darla: That's nice, Dru. Now, hurry up. We can't be late.

Drusilla: Oh, it's beautiful. Dank and dark. It reeks of death.
Darla: That's motor oil, Dru.

Darla: [to Drucilla after Angel tried to burn them alive] Who was that?

"Angel: The Trial (#2.9)" (2000)
Angel: This isn't the answer.
Darla: You don't even know what the question is.

Cordelia Chase: [to Wesley] Angel's back! And he has Darla with him!
[to Darla]
Cordelia Chase: Hi. You're, uh, planning on sleeping over?
Darla: I'm dying.
Cordelia Chase: So, just for the one night, then?
Wesley Wyndam-Pryce: Dying?
Darla: He doesn't believe it.
Wesley Wyndam-Pryce: Angel, what's going on?
Angel: Wolfram and Hart should her some medical files, supposedly proving she's only got a few months left to live.
Cordelia Chase: So maybe more than the one night?

Wesley Wyndam-Pryce: [about Wolfram & Hart] It's true. They can't really be trusted.
Darla: I don't trust them. But I know a thing or two about mind games.
[to Angel]
Darla: So do you. We've played them together for over a century.
Cordelia Chase: Yes, but you were just soulless, blood-sucking demons. They're lawyers.
Angel: [to Darla] She's right. We were amateurs.

Angel: Well, he said I had to take the plunge.
Darla: Into an empty pool?
Angel: Sure. 'Cause if you had water, you get all wet and miss out on all that skull-crushing.
Darla: Maybe he meant another pool.
Angel: Something in a koi pond. They're very zen.

Angel: How could The Powers allow you to be brought back, dangle a second chance and take it away like this?
Darla: Maybe this is my second chance.
Angel: To die?
Darla: Yes. To die. The way I was supposed to die in the first place.

Angel: [as Angelus] This is outrageous. Don't these people know who we are?
Darla: I think they do, which would explain the lynch mob.

Angel: This man Holtz, how does he keep finding us?
Darla: Well, we stay in the best hotels... , order room service, eat the waiters. People talk.

Darla: [to Angel] You know, just because we had a thing for a hundred and fifty years don't presume you know me!

Angel: That's not the point.
Darla: What is the point, Angelus?
Angel: The point is, you were undead for four hundred years. You've only been human again for a few months. Why not give it some time?
Darla: I don't have time.
Angel: Yes, you do. You were given a second chance. Don't throw that away before you get the opportunity...
Darla: I'm dying.
Angel: What?
Darla: Yeah. And not sometime, not later. Now. Right now. They showed me my medical files. All the tests say the same thing. I've got about two months left, three at the most. So if you'll excuse me, I'm in sort of a hurry.

"Angel: Lullaby (#3.9)" (2001)
Angel: You love it.
Darla: Completely. I love it completely. I-I-I don't think I've ever loved anything as much as this life that's inside of me.

Darla: No, I haven't been nourishing it. I haven't given this baby a thing. I'm dead. It's been nourishing me. These feelings that I'm having, they're not mine. They're coming from it.
Angel: You don't know that.
Darla: Of course I do. We both do. Angel, I don't have a soul. It does. And right now, that soul is inside of me, but soon, it won't be, and then...
Angel: Darla...
Darla: I won't be able to love it. I won't even be able to remember that I loved it.
[Starts to cry]
Darla: And I want to remember. I...

Darla: Angel, our baby's gonna die right here in this alley. You died in an alley, remember?
Angel: I remember.
Darla: I wanna say I'm sorry. I wanna say it and mean it, but I can't. Aren't you gonna tell me it's okay?
Angel: No.
Darla: No. It's really not, is it? We did so many terrible things together. So much destruction, so much - pain. We can't make up for any of it. You know that, don't you?
Angel: Yeah.
Darla: This child - Angel, it's the one good thing we ever did together. The only good thing... You make sure to tell him that.

Wesley Wyndam-Pryce: Now it's up to us to protect Angel's unborn child. Darla, we're trying to take you out of here. Relax. The trick is to breathe. Like this.
[Wesley demonstrates short panting breaths]
Wesley Wyndam-Pryce: Heh, heh, heh, hoh, hoh, hoh, heh, heh, heh...
Darla: I... Don't...
[sits up and sends Wesley, Cordelia, Gunn and Fred all flying backwards, away from the car and morphs into her vampface]
Darla: Breathe!

Darla: Doesn't anyone wanna sit back here with me?
Cordelia Chase: We're good.
Charles Gunn: Yeah, it's, comfy.
Darla: I promise I won't throw anyone out of the car. Not while it's moving.
Fred: It's not that we don't trust you. I mean, we don't trust you, but, the fact is, your water broke all over the back seat.
Darla: Oh.

Darla: Look at it. Listen to it. Can you smell it? This world, this horrible world. Why would anyone want to bring a baby into it?
Angel: To make it better maybe.
Darla: Or to destroy it, finally.

Darla: [to Angel] You lied much better when you didn't have a soul.

Darla: [to Angel about Daniel Holtz] That's why this is happening. His family, his children. What that must have been like for him. Doesn't seem so funny now. Does it?

Angel: You're gonna be okay.
Darla: No. No, I don't think so. Once he's gone, I won't be okay. I won't be okay at all. I don't know what I'll be.

"Angel: Quickening (#3.8)" (2001)
Darla: [going into labor] Something's wrong. The pain...
Angel: You like pain.
Darla: This is different. I want it out! Now!

Angel: Darla, you might wanna join the fight.
Darla: Sorry, darlin'. I'm gonna have to be Switzerland and sit this one out.
[to vampires]
Darla: Now, you did say you were just gonna kill the humans, right?
Vampire Leader: Yes, just the humans. Then we will nourish you, slice you open, wear your entrails as a belt and consume your eyeballs before we worship The Miracle Child.
Vampires: The Miracle Child.
[Darla jumps off the table and goes to stand beside Angel]
Darla: Okay. I'm in.

Angel: How you feeling?
Darla: I haven't had blood in almost a day, and your devil's spawn is trying to rip its way out of my body. How do you think I'm doing?

Wesley Wyndam-Pryce: [completing an ultrasound on Darla] Well, then, let's take a look, shall we? You know, I haven't studied one of these in quite a while.
Angel: Isn't that a head?
Wesley Wyndam-Pryce: I think it is. Or is that the head?
Winifred 'Fred' Burkle: Maybe, you're both right.
[everyone glares at her]
Winifred 'Fred' Burkle: It's not like I'm suggesting it's an evil two-headed thing.
Cordelia: [looking at Darla's baby on the ultrasound screen] I see it.
Darla: My little parasite.
Wesley Wyndam-Pryce: Oh, my...
Angel: What is it?
Wesley Wyndam-Pryce: It's human.
Charles Gunn: Human, as in humanoid? As in cannibalistic, humanoid underground dwellers?
Wesley Wyndam-Pryce: No. Human as in... a boy.
Angel: A boy?
Wesley Wyndam-Pryce: A boy. A boy.
[to Darla]
Wesley Wyndam-Pryce: You're carrying a boy.
Darla: Great.

Winifred 'Fred' Burkle: [holding a knife to Darla's pregnant stomach] They don't know the knife can't hurt the baby.
Darla: They do now. Vampires have great hearing. Here we go.

[last lines]
Wesley Wyndam-Pryce: [about Darla] Her water's broken. This is for real. Should be a blanket in the trunk.
Cordelia: What are we gonna do? Deliver the kid right here?Shouldn't we go somewhere?
Winifred 'Fred' Burkle: What's keeping Angel?
Darla: [screaming in pain] No! No!

"Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Angel (#1.7)" (1997)
Darla: Do you know what the saddest thing in the world is?
Buffy: Bad hair on top of that outfit?

Darla: [Buffy points the cross bow at Darla] Scary.
[Darla pulls out two pistols and points them at Buffy]
Darla: Scarier.

Darla: It's been a while.
Angel: A lifetime.
Darla: ...Or two, but who's counting?

Darla: Is there anything better than a natural disaster: the panic, the people lost in the streets. It's like picking fruit off the vine.

The Master: Do I sense a plan, Darla? Share.
Darla: Angel kills her and comes back to the fold.
The Master: Angel. He was the most vicious creature I ever met. I miss him.
Darla: So do I.
The Master: Why would he kill her if he feels for her?
Darla: To keep her from killing him.

"Angel: Heartthrob (#3.1)" (2001)
Darla: Young love.
Angelus: Give it a century.
James: A century? A mere hundred years.
Elisabeth: I would need a thousand to sketch the perfect plane of your face.
James: And I would need ten thousand just to name the color of your eyes.
Angelus: They're green. But take your time.

Darla: Didn't we eat a poet in Madrid?
Angelus: Troubadour.

Elisabeth: You know neither poetry, nor love, Angelus.
Darla: He knows other things. - Marvelously vile and ripping things.

Darla: [on abandoning Angelus] Of course, when he finally did catch up with me in Vienna, I had to pay for my sins, again and again.
Angelus: Can you even begin to fathom the things we did?
[disgustedly]
Angelus: Of course not, you're in love.

[last lines]
Darla: Well, you know what they say... life's full of surprises.

"Angel: Epiphany (#2.16)" (2001)
Darla: But we...
Angel: Yeah.
Darla: And you...
Angel: I know.
Darla: Then I...
Angel: Three times.
Darla: You're not evil?

Darla: I don't understand. Was I...? Was it... not good? Well, I don't accept that. You cannot tell me that wasn't perfect. Not only have I been around for four hundred years, but I used to do this professionally and that was perfect!
[beat]
Darla: We'll go again.

[first lines]
Angel: Oh, God.
Darla: Don't fight it, my love. Just let it happen. It'll only hurt for a minute.

Angel: Oh, God. Oh, God.
Darla: Yes. Yes, I know. It was the same for me. The soul is gone, but it leaves a bitterness. It'll pass. What you need is a fresh kill. Hot human blood will wash away the foul memory of it. I promise. What? What is it?
Angel: You saved me.
Darla: Yes. But I was going to kill you tonight. Take you out of this world, the same way I brought you into it. But I didn't have to. You gave yourself over so completely, Angelus. I felt you surrender.
Angel: I gave you everything I had left.
Darla: Yes.
Angel: I'm so sorry.
Darla: You don't have to be.
Angel: But I am. I am sorry.
Darla: What?
Angel: I'm sorry Darla.
Darla: No.
Angel: You saved me. Sorry I couldn't do the same for you.
Darla: Let go of me. You still have a soul.

"Angel: Reunion (#2.10)" (2000)
Holland Manners: Ladies. How...?
Darla: Your wife was kind enough to invite us in, Holland.
Holland Manners: Ah.
Drusilla: Very sweet, she was. Like clover.
[licking blood of her lips]
Drusilla: And honey.
Darla: Just think of it as our way of giving you what you want.
Holland Manners: What would I...?
Darla: I believe you said something about... a massacre.

Darla: Gung ho, are they? Because all I'm sensing right now is big, stinky, fear.

Drusilla: Daddy's home.
Darla: Here for the tasting?

Darla: I love this room. Dru! Honey! In our new digs, we have to put in a people cellar.

"Angel: Reprise (#2.15)" (2001)
Lindsey McDonald: How do you feel?
Darla: Stronger today, I guess.
Lindsey McDonald: Good. You're getting stronger everyday.
Darla: Only because you saved me. I'd still be in that sewer if you hadn't found me. I don't know how you did it.
Lindsey McDonald: Drucilla. She came to me. Remember? I told you.
Darla: She's gone.
Lindsey McDonald: She'll be back.
Darla: No. You're the only one who hasn't abandoned me.
Lindsey McDonald: And I never will.

Lindsey McDonald: I'm gonna take a shower.
Darla: You always take a shower when you come back from that place. I don't know why... You're never dirty.
Lindsey McDonald: I'm always dirty.

Darla: [Darla drives the sword through Denver and into Angel] That's right, Angelus. Go towards the bleeding mortal. Because that's smart. The ring's not about vengeance, Angelus. It's about power. We'll get to the vengeance part soon.

[last lines]
Angel: What are you doing?
Darla: It doesn't matter. None of it matters.

"Angel: First Impressions (#2.3)" (2000)
Angel: Darla. I was afraid you weren't coming.
Darla: Mmm, don't be silly, silly! I've been here the whole time.
Angel: You have?
Darla: Mm-hmm, just waiting for you. Aren't you going to ask me to dance?
Angel: [they begin to dance] I still can't believe you're here. I mean, I killed you.
Darla: I'm over that. You haven't told anyone else about these dates of ours, have you?
Angel: No. I want you all to myself.
Darla: Hmm... I know how you feel.
Angel: It's so strange.
Darla: But good.
Angel: But good.
Lorne: Somebody get these two love-vamps a room!

[last lines]
Darla: You take care of so many people, but who takes care of you?
Angel: [smiling] You do.
Darla: That's right. I do. Come on. Come on. Leak back. Now, you just relax and let Darla take care of you. How's that?
Angel: Good.
Darla: I'm just getting started, baby. I know how to please you. All you have to do is let me. I could just eat you up.

Angel: Why are you so good to me after everything I did?
Darla: Because... you and I are one.

"Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Welcome to the Hellmouth (#1.1)" (1997)
Buffy Summers: Now, we can do this the hard way or... well, actually, there's just the hard way.
Darla: That's fine with me.
Buffy Summers: Are you sure? Now this is not gonna be pretty. We're talking violence, strong language, adult content.

[first lines]
Darla: Are you sure this is a good idea?
Darla's Victim: It's a great idea. Now come on.

Jesse McNally: So... what did you say your name was?
Darla: Darla.
Jesse McNally: Darla, right. You know, I've never seen you around here before. Are you from around here?
Darla: No, but I have family here.
Jesse McNally: Oh. Have I met them?
Darla: [makes a very evil-looking smile] You probably will.

"Angel: Judgment (#2.1)" (2000)
Darla: Angel, it's been a long time. I'd love to see that boy.

Darla: [hums with the music] Hmm, the prelude.
Lindsey McDonald: In C-minor. The preludes and the nocturnes.
Darla: So much better than the waltzes.
[about Chopin]
Darla: He had consumption.
Lindsey McDonald: And died way too soon. A lot of that goin' around.
Darla: Hm. He's here.
Lilah Morgan: Chopin?
Lindsey McDonald: Angel. He's here in town. You can feel him.
Darla: Always could.
Lindsey McDonald: He hasn't been much of a help to us.
Darla: He killed me!
[laughs]
Darla: I remember now. With a soul in his heart.
Lindsey McDonald: He's taken from both of us, so when you feel ready, we'll start thinking about giving a little back.

"Angel: The Prodigal (#1.15)" (2000)
Darla: This contest is ended, is it?
Angelus: Now I've won.
Darla: Are you sure?
Angelus: Of course. I proved who had the power here.
Darla: You think?
Angelus: [stands] What?
Darla: Your victory over him took but moments.
Angelus: [looks back at his dead father] Yes.
Darla: But his defeat of you will last lifetimes.
Angelus: What are you talking about? He can't defeat me now.
Darla: Nor can he ever approve of you, in this world or any other. What we once were informs all that we have become. The same love will infect our hearts, even if they no longer beat. Simple death won't change that.
Angelus: Love.
[looks around at his dead family]
Angelus: Is this the work of love?
Darla: Darling boy. So young, still so very young.

Angel's Father: Liam! You'll do as I say!
Liam: [to his sister] Sweet Kathy. No tears. We'll meet again.
Angel's Father: Defy me now, you won't! Not as long as I live!
Liam: You'll want to move away from the door now, father.
Angel's Father: Go through it, but don't ever expect to come back!
Liam: As you wish, father. Always, just as you wish.
Angel's Father: It's a son I wished for! A man! instead God gave me you! A terrible disappointment!
Liam: Disappointment? A more dutiful son you couldn't have asked for. My whole life you've told me in word, in glance, what it is you required of me, and I've lived down to your every expectations, now haven't I?
Angel's Father: That's madness!
Liam: No. The madness is that I couldn't fail enough for you. But we'll fix that now, won't we?
Angel's Father: I fear for you, lad.
Liam: And is that the only thing you can find in your heart for me now, father?
Angel's Father: Who'll take you in, huh? No one!
Liam: I'll not lack for a place to sleep, I can tell you that. Out of my way.
Angel's Father: [Liam walks for the door but his father grabs him] I was never in your way, boy.
[Liam opens the door and storms out]
Angel's Father: If you'll go courting trouble, you're sure to find it!
[Liam's father looks as if he is about to cry and slams the door. Cut to the barmaid at the tavern smiling as Liam picks her up. Cut to Darla scratching her chest to make it bleed. Cut to the barmaid. Cut to Darla in the alley. Cut to the Barmaid feeding Liam some grapes]
Darla: You know what to do. Darling boy.
[Cut to Liam following Darla into the alley]
Darla: I could show you things you've never seen.
[Darla vamps and bites Liam, his eyes pop open. His knees give out and Darla pushes his mouth on top of the bloody scratch on her chest]

"Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Becoming: Part 1 (#2.21)" (1998)
Liam: I never been anywhere myself. I always wanted to see the world, but...
Darla: I could show you.
Liam: Could you, then?
Darla: Thing's you've never seen, never even heard of.
Liam: Sounds exciting.
Darla: It is. And frightening.
Liam: I'm not afraid. Show me. Show me your world.
Darla: Close your eyes.

Liam: So, I'd ask myself... What's a lady of your station doing alone in an alley with the reputation that this one has?
Darla: Maybe she's lonely.
Liam: In that case, I'd offer myself as escort to protect you from harm and to while away the dull hours.
Darla: You're very gracious.
Liam: Hm. It's often been said.
Darla: Are you certain you're up to the challenge?
Liam: Milady, you'll find that with the exception of an honest day's work, there's no challenge I'm not prepared to face.
[He stops in front of her and looks into her eyes]
Liam: Oh... But you're a pretty thing. Where are you from?
Darla: [smiles] Around. Everywhere.
Liam: I never been anywhere myself. Always wanted to see the world, but...
Darla: I could show you.
Liam: Could you, then?
Darla: Things you've never seen, never even heard of.
Liam: Sounds exciting.
Darla: It is. And frightening.
Liam: I'm not afraid. Show me. Show me your world.
Darla: [closes her eyes] Close your eyes.
[Liam follows her example. Darla vamps and smiles, lets out a low growl and opens wide as she leans in to bite him. When he feels the pain his eyes open wide, and he gasps. He can't keep steady, and sinks to his knees. Darla lets go of her bite, revealing his bloody neck, and stands up straight. She lifts her hand to her chest and draws a sharp fingernail across the skin above her breasts, allowing blood to trickle out. She grabs him by the back of the neck and pulls him in to her bosom so that his lips fall directly onto the cut, forcing him to taste of her blood. He puts his arms around her and drinks]

"Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Fool for Love (#5.7)" (2000)
[Angelus and Spike are about to trade blows]
Darla: [sing-song] I think our boys are going to fight.
Drusilla: The King of Cups expects a picnic. But this is not his birthday.
Darla: [looks at Drusilla like she's crazy] Good point.

"Angel: That Vision Thing (#3.2)" (2001)
[last lines]
Darla: You're a difficult man to find, señor. Do you know why I'm here? You are my last hope. I've been told you're very powerful, very wise. I've tried everything and I can't get rid of it. So, I ask you: What is this thing growing inside of me, and how is it possible?
Shaman: The Father is also a...?
Darla: Vampire? Yes. Though not a very good one.
Shaman: I will need some blood.
Darla: Well... I'll show you mine if you show me yours.
[pause]
Darla: Men are such babies.
Shaman: This has never failed me.
[pause]
Shaman: I cannot help you. No man can. This is not meant to be known.
Darla: Yeah, yeah. Like I haven't heard that before. Well, I guess there's only one thing left to do. Time to go visit Daddy.

"Angel: Five by Five (#1.18)" (2000)
Angel: That gypsy girl you brought me - her people found out. They-they did something to me.
Darla: A spell?
Angel: Funny. You would think with all the people I've maimed and killed I wouldn't be able to remember every single one. Help me.
Darla: The spell. They gave you a soul. A filthy soul! No! You're disgusting!
Angel: Darla.
Darla: No, get away from me.
Angel: You brought her here. I am like you.
Darla: You're not like anything. Get away from me. Get out! I'll kill you!

"Angel: The Girl in Question (#5.20)" (2004)
[a scantily-clad Drusilla enters wearing a skimpy robe]
Drusilla: Time for another pony ride?
Spike: Son of a bitch!
Angel: The both of ya?
Darla: He's insatiable.
Spike: Drusilla, y-you let him touch you?
Drusilla: He felt like sunshine.
Spike: Uh, no. No.
Angel: That's why he had us tossed. So he could violate...
Darla: He didn't...
Angel: Violate our women!
Spike: Violate in succession!
Darla: Concurrently.
Angel: Concurrently? You never let us do that.
Darla: Come on, Dru. Let's have a bath so the boys can weep in private.
Drusilla: Will you hold me under the water?
Darla: If you wish.

"Angel: Untouched (#2.4)" (2000)
[first lines]
Darla: Exciting, isn't it?
Lilah Morgan: Darla. I didn't see you.
Darla: Going through their things, all the hidden pieces of themselves locked away, giving you a naughty little thrill of control.
Lilah Morgan: I just like to keep abreast of his latest project. He's probably in my office right now trying to find out about mine. It's just how it works at our firm.
Darla: All you busy little worker bees, plotting your little schemes.
Lilah Morgan: Corinthian powder? Is that how you keep Angel sleeping when he's with you?
Darla: There's nothing so lovely as dreams. Everything's in them, everything hidden. Open those chambers and you can truly understand someone and control them.
Lilah Morgan: And what's hidden in Angel's secret chambers?
Darla: Horrors.
