Terminator Genisys (2015)
Kyle Reese: This is all wrong! John sent me here to save you!
Sarah Connor: From the Terminator that was sent back to kill me, I know. But we already took care of him.
Kyle Reese: We?
[the T-800 appears... and so does another]
Kyle Reese: [the Terminator cocks a shotgun]
Guardian: [the Terminator cocks a shotgun] I have been waiting for you.

Sarah Connor: I've been trying to teach him to blend in.
Guardian: Hello Kyle Reese. It is nice to meet you.
[the T-800 "smiles"]
Kyle Reese: Are you kidding me?
Sarah Connor: I know it needs work.

[From trailer]
[after seeing the Terminator, unaware that he's the good Terminator, Kyle takes out gun with the intent on killing the Terminator]
Sarah Connor: Those bullets will kill.
Kyle Reese: He's here to kill you. Stay in the truck.
[Reese discovers the Terminator gone. Terminator appears and uses the big to knock out Reese]
Kyle Reese: [Sarah approaches to find Reese knocked out]
Sarah Connor: Oh, great. That's just great.
Terminator: I did not kill him.

Kyle Reese: Where the hell were you?
Guardian: Stuck in traffic.

Kyle Reese: You want us to time travel into the future in that?
Sarah Connor: Yeah, we can't be wearing anything.
Kyle Reese: Yeah, I know how time travel works.

Guardian: [after his hand involuntarily shakes as they're loading their cartridges] Old.
Kyle Reese: Not obsolete.
Guardian: Not yet.

[first lines]
Kyle Reese: [narrating] Before they died, my parents told me stories about how the world once was; what it was like long before I was born; before the war with the machines. They remembered a green world, vast and beautiful, filled with laughter and hope for the future. It's a world I never knew. By the time I was born, all this was gone.
Kyle Reese: "Skynet," a computer program designed to automate missile defense. It was supposed to protect us, but that's not what happened. August 29th, 1997, Skynet woke up. It decided all of humanity was a threat to its existence.
[scenes of mass destruction]
Kyle Reese: It used our own bombs against us. Three billion people died of nuclear fire.
Kyle Reese: Survivors called it Judgement Day. People lived like rats in shadows, hiding, starving, or worse, captured and put into camps for extermination. I was born after Judgement Day, into a broken world ruled by the machines. The worst were infiltration units that posed as humans. We called them Terminators.
John Connor: [finding young Kyle in subterranean tunnels] Are there others down here?
Kyle Reese: And then one man found me. His name was John Connor, and he changed everything. John showed us how to fight back; how to rise up. He freed prisoners. He taught us how to slash the machines to scrap. People whisper about John and wonder how he can know the things he does. They use words like prophet. But John's more. We're here because tonight, he's going to lead us to crush Skynet for good.

[T-1000 Cop rams into their vehicle and starts shooting]
Kyle Reese: Get down!
Guardian: We've been re-acquired.
Sarah Connor: Uh, yeah, no shit!

Kyle Reese: A straight line... you just go and you don't look back
Sarah Connor: Where did you hear that?
Kyle Reese: In a past I shouldn't remember... but I do

[last lines]
Guardian: [attempts a friendly smile]
Kyle Reese: You know that's really disturbing, right?
Sarah Connor: You'll get used to it.
Kyle Reese: [narrating] And it was over. Skynet was gone. And now one road has become many. Though questions remain, we'll search for the answers together. But one thing we know for sure. The future is not set.

Young O'Brien: That's got to be an alien, like from outer space.
Kyle Reese: It's a machine that kills humans. Uncuff me!
Young O'Brien: No! You're under arrest!
Kyle Reese: What part of "kills humans" is confusing to you?

Kyle Reese: [blows Young Terminator T-800's head off] And I volunteered for this shit.

Kyle Reese: How'd you know which one was him?
Sarah Connor: Well, I didn't know exactly.
Kyle Reese: You could have shot me!
Sarah Connor: Well, I was pretty sure it wasn't you.
Kyle Reese: Pretty sure?

Kyle Reese: Just make sure you show up. I don't want to have to steal someone's pants again.
Guardian: I have the coordinates in San Francisco... I'll be there.

John Connor: That hurt. Is that pain real, or was that a... trick of memory from when I was... less? Well, this explains a lot. Yeah. Who sent you back, I wonder?
Kyle Reese: John, no.
Sarah Connor: It's not John.

John Connor: I was sent to 2014 to safeguard Skynet's creation in this time. And in less than 24 hours, no one will be able to stop Judgment Day.
Kyle Reese: What do you want with us?
John Connor: I'm offering us... a future... together... a family.
Kyle Reese: And if we refuse?
John Connor: Then you die.

Young Kyle: I like her.
Kyle Reese: Yeah, me, too. Now this is going to sound kind of strange, but there's something I need you to remember. A message.
Young Kyle: Who do I tell?
Kyle Reese: Yourself. Over and over. Are you ready?
[Young Kyle nods]
Kyle Reese: It goes like this. Remember, Genisys is Skynet.

John Connor: We're marooned, the three of us. We're exiles in time. You see, I can kill you, for there truly is no fate. Are you with me?
Kyle Reese: The answer is no.
[Kyle & Sarah both raise their guns]
John Connor: You hear that, Kyle? That's the dice rolling.

Kyle Reese: You should have told me. That we have a son.
Sarah Connor: *That* John Connor is not my son.
Kyle Reese: Yeah, but you knew. I mean, you don't think you should, I don't know, maybe say something?
Sarah Connor: You die, all right?
Kyle Reese: What?
Sarah Connor: You die. That's what happens. We fall in love, you father John, and then, in less than 48 hours, you die protecting me. You wanna tell me how *that* conversation's supposed to start?
Kyle Reese: You lied to me. You manipulated me.
Sarah Connor: I've lied? From the moment John found you, he manipulated you because he needed to ensure his own existence. John lied to you for years. I lied to you for two days. You know, it wasn't all about him. All right? If John went down, the Resistance went down with him. He could have told you!
Kyle Reese: So what are you saying?
Sarah Connor: That I know how it feels to have no choices. Only one road you can go down because otherwise all of it, everything, is gone. I've just known it longer than you have. Well, John didn't manipulate me to fall in love with you. I did that on my own. If you love me, you die, and I don't. And I don't know which one is worse.

Kyle Reese: This is the world now: Plugged in, logged on all the time. They can't live without it.
Sarah Connor: Genisys is a Trojan horse.

Sarah Connor: Genisys is a Trojan horse, Skynet's way into everything.
Kyle Reese: These people are inviting their own extinction in through the front door, and they don't even know it.

Young Kyle: Remember, Genisys is Skynet. When Genisys comes online, Judgment Day begins. You can kill Skynet before it's born.

The Terminator (1984)
Kyle Reese: [in a stolen car] The 600 series had rubber skin. We spotted them easy, but these are new. They look human... sweat, bad breath, everything. Very hard to spot. I had to wait till he moved on you before I could zero him.
Sarah Connor: [frustrated] Look, I am not stupid, you know. They cannot make things like that yet.
Kyle Reese: Not yet, not for about 40 years.
Sarah Connor: [disbelieving] Are you saying it's from the future?
Kyle Reese: One possible future. From your point of view. I don't know tech stuff.
Sarah Connor: Then you're from the future, too. Is that right?
Kyle Reese: Right.
Sarah Connor: Right.

Dr. Peter Silberman: Why didn't you bring any weapons, something more advanced? Don't you have, uh... ray guns? Show me a piece of future technology.
Detective Hal Vukovich: [watching from a monitor, chuckling] Ray guns?
Kyle Reese: You go naked. Something about the field generated by a living organism. Nothing dead will go.
Dr. Peter Silberman: Why?
Kyle Reese: I didn't build the fucking thing!
Dr. Peter Silberman: Okay, okay. But this cyborg, if it's metal...
Kyle Reese: Surrounded by living tissue!
Dr. Peter Silberman: Oh, right, right.
Dr. Peter Silberman: [shuts off the VCR screen on which the police and Sarah have been watching the interview] This is great stuff. I could make a career out of this guy! You see how clever his part is? How it doesn't require a shred of proof? Most paranoid delusions are intricate, but this is brilliant!
Dr. Peter Silberman: Why were the other two women killed?
Kyle Reese: Most of the records were lost in the war. Skynet knew almost nothing about Connor's mother. Her full name, where she lived. They just knew the city. The Terminator was just being systematic.
Dr. Peter Silberman: Uh-huh. Well, let's go back to what I was...
Kyle Reese: [interrupts] Look! You have heard enough! I have answered your questions! Now, I have to see Sarah Connor!
Dr. Peter Silberman: I'm afraid that's not up to me.
Kyle Reese: Then why am I talking to you? Who is in authority here?
Dr. Peter Silberman: Please, I...
Kyle Reese: [interrupts again] Shut up!
[He glares into the camera]
Kyle Reese: You still don't get it, do you? He'll find her! That's what he does! That's ALL he does! You can't stop him! He'll wade through you, reach down her throat and pull her fuckin' heart out!

Kyle Reese: [hiding inside a cave not from the road] John Connor gave me a picture of you once. I didn't know why at the time. It was very old - torn, faded. You were young like you are now. You seemed just a little sad. I used to always wonder what you were thinking at that moment. I memorized every line, every curve... I came across time for you, Sarah. I love you; I always have.

Sarah Connor: [in a stolen car] Reese. Why me? Why does it want me?
Kyle Reese: There was a nuclear war. A few years from now, all this, this whole place, everything, it's gone. Just gone. There were survivors. Here, there. Nobody even knew who started it. It was the machines, Sarah.
Sarah Connor: I don't understand.
Kyle Reese: Defense network computers. New... powerful... hooked into everything, trusted to run it all. They say it got smart, a new order of intelligence. Then it saw all people as a threat, not just the ones on the other side. Decided our fate in a microsecond: extermination.
Sarah Connor: Did you see this war?
Kyle Reese: No. I grew up after. In the ruins... starving... hiding from H-K's.
Sarah Connor: H-K's?
Kyle Reese: Hunter-Killers. Patrol machines built in automated factories. Most of us were rounded up, put in camps for orderly disposal.
[pulls up his right sleeve, exposing a mark]
Kyle Reese: This is burned in by laser scan. Some of us were kept alive... to work... loading bodies. The disposal units ran night and day. We were that close to going out forever. But there was one man who taught us to fight, to storm the wire of the camps, to smash those metal motherfuckers into junk. He turned it around. He brought us back from the brink. His name is Connor. John Connor. Your son, Sarah... your unborn son.

Kyle Reese: [to Sarah, while grabbing her arm, after the shooting at the club stopped] Come with me if you want to live.

[after Sarah tries to escape and bites Reese's hand, in a stolen car]
Kyle Reese: Cyborgs don't feel pain. I do. Don't do that again.
Sarah Connor: [weakly] Just let me go!
Kyle Reese: Listen, and understand! That Terminator is out there! It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop... ever, until you are dead!

Dr. Peter Silberman: [in a interrogation room inside the police station] Why this elaborate scheme with the Terminator?
Kyle Reese: It had no choice. Their defense grid was smashed. We'd won. Taking out Connor then would make no difference. Skynet had to wipe out his entire existence!
Dr. Peter Silberman: Is that when you captured the lab complex and found the, uh, what was it called... the time displacement equipment?
Kyle Reese: That's right. The Terminator had already gone through. Connor sent me to intercept him and they blew the whole place.
Dr. Peter Silberman: Well, how are you supposed to get back?
Kyle Reese: I can't. Nobody goes home. Nobody else comes through. It's just him - and me.

Sarah Connor: [in a motel room] Are you sure you have the right person?
Kyle Reese: I'm sure.
Sarah Connor: [angrily] Oh, come on. Do I look like the mother of the future? I mean am I tough, organized? I can't even balance my checkbook! Look Reese, I didn't ask for this honor and I don't WANT IT, ANY OF IT!
Kyle Reese: Your son gave me a message to give to you. He made me memorize it.
[reciting message]
Kyle Reese: Thank you, Sarah, for your courage through the dark years. I can't help you with what you must soon face, except to say that the future is not set. You must be stronger than you imagine you can be. You must survive, or I will never exist.

Kyle Reese: [to the Terminator] Come on, motherfucker!

Sarah Connor: [hiding inside a cave not from the road] Tell me about my son.
Kyle Reese: He's about my height. He has your eyes.
Sarah Connor: What's he like?
Kyle Reese: You trust him. He's got a strength. I'd die for John Connor.
Sarah Connor: Well... at least now I know what to name him. I don't suppose you know who the father is, so I won't tell him to get lost when I meet him?
Kyle Reese: John never said much about him. I know he dies before the war.
Sarah Connor: Wait. I don't want to know.

Sarah Connor: [in a stolen car] What's it like when you go through time?
Kyle Reese: White light. Pain. It's like being born, maybe.

Sarah Connor: [awakens from a dream while hiding inside a cave not from the road] I was dreaming about dogs.
Kyle Reese: We used them to spot Terminators.
Sarah Connor: Your world... it's pretty terrifying.

Kyle Reese: [pointing a gun at him] What day is it? The date!
Cop in Alley: 12th... May... Thursday...
Kyle Reese: [viciously] WHAT YEAR?

Sarah Connor: [checks the grocery bags Kyle has brought back to the hotel room] What've we got? Moth balls, corn syrup, ammonia. What's for dinner?
Kyle Reese: Plastique.
Sarah Connor: That sounds good. What is it?
Kyle Reese: Nitroglycerine-base; it's a bit more stable. I learned to make it when I was a kid.

Sarah Connor: [in a motel room] Kyle, the women in your time, what are they like?
Kyle Reese: Good fighters.
Sarah Connor: That's not what I meant. Was there someone special?
Kyle Reese: Someone?
Sarah Connor: A girl, you know.
Kyle Reese: No. Never.
Sarah Connor: Never? I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. So much pain.
Kyle Reese: Pain can be controlled - you just disconnect it.

Kyle Reese: [to Sarah while driving a stolen car] I'm here to help you. I'm Reese. Sergeant Tech-Com, DN38416. Assigned to protect you. You've been targeted for termination.

Sarah Connor: [in a stolen car, while being chased by the police and the terminator] This is a mistake. I haven't done anything.
Kyle Reese: No, but you will. It's very important that you live.
Sarah Connor: This isn't true. How could that man just get up after you just...
Kyle Reese: He's not a man - a machine. Terminator, Cyberdyne Systems Model 101.
Sarah Connor: A machine? Like a robot?
Kyle Reese: Not a robot. A cyborg. Cybernetic organism.
Sarah Connor: No, he was bleeding.
Kyle Reese: Just a second. Keep your head down!

Kyle Reese: [in a stolen car, while being chased by the police and the terminator] All right, listen. The Terminator's an infiltration unit: part man, part machine. Underneath, it's a hyperalloy combat chassis, microprocessor-controlled. Fully armored; very tough. But outside, it's living human tissue: flesh, skin, hair, blood - grown for the cyborgs.
Sarah Connor: Look, Reese, I don't know what you want from...
Kyle Reese: Pay attention! I gotta ditch this car.

Kyle Reese: Sleep. It'll be light soon.
Sarah Connor: Okay. Talk some more.
Kyle Reese: About what?
Sarah Connor: About where you're from.
Kyle Reese: All right. You stay down by day, but at night, you can move around. The H-K's use infrared so you still have to watch out. But they're not too bright. John taught us ways to dust them. That's when the infiltrators started to appear. The Terminators were the newest and the worst...

Terminator Salvation (2009)
[from trailer]
Kyle Reese: Come with me if you want to live.

[from trailer]
Marcus Wright: What day is it? What year?
Kyle Reese: 2018.
Marcus Wright: What happened here?
Kyle Reese: Judgment Day happened.

Marcus Wright: [Kyle is eating something] What is that?
Kyle Reese: Two day old coyote. It's better than three day old coyote.

Marcus Wright: If you're going to point a gun, you'd better be ready to pull the trigger.
Kyle Reese: [later, repeating Marcus] If you're going to point a gun, you'd better be ready to pull the trigger.

Kyle Reese: John Connor... We gotta find this guy.

Kyle Reese: [a car radio suddenly starts and Kyle hears music for the first time] What is that?
Marcus Wright: Something my brother used to listen to.

John Connor: [points gun at Reese] What's your name?
Kyle Reese: Kyle Reese.

Kyle Reese: [to Marcus] You want to know the difference between us and machines? We bury our dead. But no one is coming to bury you.

Kyle Reese: Moto-terminators!

Dr. Serena Kogan: Welcome home, Marcus. We knew you'd be back. After all, it was programmed in you. Oh, and you executed that programming beautifully.
Marcus Wright: What am I?
Dr. Serena Kogan: You are an infiltration prototype. The only one of your kind. Advanced Cyberdyne's work, we resurrected you, amended it.
Marcus Wright: You're dead.
Dr. Serena Kogan: Calculations confirm Serena Kogan is the
[transforms into John Connor]
John Connor: easiest for you to process. We can
[transforms into Kyle Reese]
Kyle Reese: be others if you like. Marcus, what else could you be... if not machine?
[transforms back into Serena Kogan]
Marcus Wright: A man.
Dr. Serena Kogan: The human condition no longer applies to you. Accept what you already know. That you were made to serve a purpose. To achieve what no other machine has been able to do. To infiltrate, find a target and then bring that target home to us.
[flashback recording from Marcus' perspective]
John Connor: We've been at war since before either of us even existed. You tried to kill my mother, Sarah Connor.
Dr. Serena Kogan: In times of desperation, people will believe what they want to believe. And so, we gave them what they wanted to believe. A trick in the form of signal the Resistance thought would win the war. And they were right, it will end this war. Except that it is the Resistance that will be destroyed. Not, Skynet. Our best machines have failed time again to complete a mission. Something was missing. We had to think, radically. And so we made you. We created the perfect infiltration unit. You, Marcus. You did what Skynet has failed to do for so many years. You killed John Connor. Don't fight, Marcus. Remember what you are.
Marcus Wright: I know what I am.
[rips out computer chip, crumbles]
Marcus Wright: I'm better this way.
Dr. Serena Kogan: You will not be given a second chance. You cannot save John Connor.
Marcus Wright: Watch me.

"Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles: The Good Wound (#2.14)" (2009)
[first lines]
Kyle Reese: John Connor gave me a picture of you once. I didn't know why at the time. You were young, like you are now. I always wondered what you were thinking in that moment. You seemed a little sad, like you were remembering something long gone. I came across time for you, Sarah. I love you. I always have.

Kyle Reese: Come with me if you wanna live.

Kyle Reese: I saw an entire orchard on fire once - Skynet flame throwers. Smelled like apple pie.

Kyle Reese: He's out of his time. He's lost. John's all he's got - John and you.
Sarah Connor: We're all out of our time. We're all lost. And John is all any of us have.

Kyle Reese: [citing John's message to his mother] "You must be stronger than you imagine you can be. You must survive, or I will never exist."

Kyle Reese: Don't worry Sarah. I'm here. I'm watching. I'm always watching.

Kyle Reese: Pain can be controlled.

"Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles: Dungeons & Dragons (#1.6)" (2008)
Derek Reese: Hey, Wisher, did you hear? Brother Kyle was in Century work camp.
Wisher: No, really?
Kyle Reese: Go to hell.
Wisher: Did he escape? Was he a hero?
Derek Reese: I heard he led John Connor through a slaughterhouse without taking a pinprick.
Wisher: Oh, no, no, no, I heard it was *two* slaughterhouses and that he *carried* Connor.
Kyle Reese: It was *one* slaughterhouse. *Many* Connors.
Wisher: Right, right.

Kyle Reese: What?
Derek Reese: I hate that thing.
Kyle Reese: It's just a picture.
Derek Reese: It's Connor's mother. I don't get why he'd give you that.
Kyle Reese: She's my good luck charm.
Derek Reese: That's what makes me nervous.

"Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles: What He Beheld (#1.9)" (2008)
[first lines]
[caption: April 21, 2011 - Judgment Day]
[two kids are playing baseball]
Sarah Connor: [narrating] When John was little, he used to sleep with his hand under my chin. At night I'd lay awake watching him, calm, peaceful, happy. I wanted to freeze time, and let my son live in that moment forever.
[younger boy misses the ball with his bat]
Sarah Connor: [narrating] But you can't freeze time. You can't protect your children from the future that awaits them.
Kyle at 8: Batting's hard, Derek!
Derek at 15: You're doing great, Kyle, just remember how I showed you: stay on top of the ball.
Sarah Connor: [narrating] The moment's there. And then...
Derek at 15: [Kyle hits the ball] Yes!
Kyle at 8: Yes, finally!
Sarah Connor: [narrating] ... it's gone.
[distant explosions]
Kyle at 8: Fireworks! Cool!
[looking up they see the nuclear bombs streaking across the sky]
