For those of you who may not have heard, IMDB recently posted this concerning the producers of the 1 Second Film:
"This name represents the producers of The 1 Second Film (2007) since the list is too large and time consuming to represent fully here, sorry. Please visit the official site for the complete updated list." (http://imdb.com/name/nm2524320/)
Well, IMDB, I must say this is major BS!! There are many, many, MANY dedicated, amazing people who have become involved in this truly original, expansive, imaginitive, charity project and film. There is NO REASON to have removed the producers' names from the page. It is ridiculous for you to opt not to take the time to put the people's names and add the information to the site. I have seen NUMEROUS posts via this board about people wanting their names and/or credits removed from the database and you refused them stating the IMDB is simply a repository for documenting information about film/TV. Therefore, ALL credits concerning film/TV should be listed despite how time consuming or trivial the credits may seem. You have page/credit listings for Lassie, Rin Tin-Tin, Wilson the Volleyball, and many others including an entire page for a character (not the actual person) who died over 100 years ago and the page is only for one credit where the appearance was archived footage. If you are that understaffed at your office, you should hire more people to achieve the task or perhaps open other offices where more employees can take care of it. There is absolutely no reason to deny so many people the opportunity to have a credit on the database as a producer. If you were not up to the task, you should have never given your word to Nirvan and the rest of the talented and dedicated crew of the 1 Second Film. Your collaberation with the 1 Second Film Project is what has helped spread it throughout the world, and to give it that help and then repeal it is a fathomless travesty. You should all truly be ashamed of yourselves.
