Former President Donald Trump was criticized for lauding Hannibal Lecter, the fictional serial killer from the 1991 film The Silence of the Lambs while claiming that migrants are being released from “insane asylums” into the U.S. at a weekend rally.
During a speech he made at his New Jersey campaign rally on May 11, Trump claimed that “the mental institution population is down because they’re taking people from insane asylums [in foreign countries] and from mental institutions” and sending them to the U.S.
“You know what the difference is, right,” he asked the crowd. “An insane asylum is a mental institution on steroids.”
“Silence of the Lamb – has anyone ever seen The Silence of the Lambs – the late, great Hannibal Lecter,” Trump added. “He’s a wonderful man. Remember the last scene?”
“‘Excuse me, I’m about to have a friend for dinner,’ as this poor doctor walked by,” the former president said while quoting what Lecter,...

Mika Brzezinski got a huge surprise on Thursday’s (May 2) episode of MSNBC’s Morning Joe when her husband and co-host, Joe Scarborough, abruptly stopped the show to present her with a sweet birthday gift. In the clip, which the official Morning Joe X account posted online, Brzezinski introduces a segment featuring Dan Kilcoyne, the President and CEO of Mini Melts Ice Cream. But before she can start interviewing the creator of her favorite snack, Scarborough begins ringing the bell on his desk. Brzezinski can be heard gasping off-screen before the camera turns back to Scarborough, who says, “Mini Melts. Come on over, Dan.” Scarborough directs Kilcoyne over to the side of the stage in front of a display hidden behind a sheet. He then asks Brzezinski, who is sitting open-mouthed, to come and join them. Morning Joe celebrates our own Mika Brzezinski’s birthday with her favorite dessert: Mini melts!

Some startling rumors emerged shortly after New York Police Department officers — clad in what looked like every piece of riot gear available to the department — stormed Columbia University to forcibly remove and arrest student protesters occupying a campus building.
These weren’t students; these were professional agitators. These skilled infiltrators had used industrial chains to barricade the doors of Hamilton Hall. Even worse, one of the protesters was the wife of a known terror suspect.
The claims were at best misleading and at worst outright false — but that didn’t stop law enforcement,...

Poppy Harlow and CNN are parting ways after the news outlet put the veteran correspondent through a whirlwind era as one of the co-anchors of an ill-conceived morning program that was ultimately scrapped.
CNN executives “have been wonderful and have given me the space to make this decision,” Harlow said in a memo to colleagues Friday. “I am very grateful to them.”
The decision to leave was Harlow’s, according to people familiar with the matter. CNN executives had come up with a handful of ideas for a new role following the network’s decision to cancel the A.M. program she had been anchoring, most recently with Phil Mattingly. Mattingly has since been named a national correspondent. Harlow felt she wanted to take a break and survey other options that might be available to her, according to one of the people familiar with the situation.
She could probably use some time off.

NBC News has terminated former Republican National Committee chair Ronna McDaniel as a political analyst just days after hiring her after an unprecedented revolt among its anchors and staffers at its news division, who questioned why a person who supported former President Donald Trump‘s false statements about the 2020 election was hired in the first place.
“There is no doubt that the last several days have been difficult for the News Group,” NBCUniversal News Group President Cesar Conde told staff in an email. “After listening to the legitimate concerns of many of you, I have decided that Ronna McDaniel will not be an NBC News contributor.”
“I want to personally apologize to our team members who felt we let them down,” Conde wrote. “While this was a collective recommendation by some members of our leadership team, I approved it and take full responsibility for it.”

Ronna McDaniel is out at NBC News.
The former Republican National Committee chair was hired as a paid on-air contributor for the network, a move that received backlash from the network’s own anchors.
Rachel Maddow, Chuck Todd, Joy Reid, Nicolle Wallace, and Lawrence O’Donnell were among the MSNBC hosts who voiced their opposition to McDaniel‘s hire.
Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzeznski said, “To be clear, we believe NBC News should seek out conservative Republican voices to provide balance in their election coverage. But it should be conservative Republicans, not a person who used her position of power to be an anti-democracy election denier, and we hope NBC will reconsider its decision. It goes without saying that she will not be a guest on Morning Joe in her capacity as a paid contributor.”
Now, it has been announced that McDaniel has been dropped by NBC News.

Ronna McDaniel is out at NBC News. The former Republican National Committee head has been let go just four days after it was announced that she’d been hired as a paid contributor — a position that reportedly would have earned her $300,000 a year.
NBCUniversal News Group chairman Cesar Conde announced the news to his staff via email on Tuesday, according to CNN alum Brian Stelter: “There is no doubt that the last several days have been difficult for the News Group. After listening to the legitimate concerns of many of you, I have decided that Ronna McDaniel will not be an NBC News contributor.

NBC News has officially decided to part ways with its newest on-air contributor, Ronna McDaniel, the former Republican National Committee chair, just days after she was hired.
“After listening to the legitimate concerns of many of you, I have decided that Ronna McDaniel will not be an NBC News contributor,” NBC News Group chairman Cesar Conde wrote in a memo to staff Tuesday afternoon. “No organization, particularly a newsroom, can succeed unless it is cohesive and aligned. Over the last few days, it has become clear that this appointment undermines that goal.”
Separately, McDaniel has been dropped by CAA, the agency that repped her in the deal with the network, sources confirm to The Hollywood Reporter.
The former Republican National Committee chair was hired by NBC News on March 22 as an on-air contributor, and she made her NBC debut on Sunday’s edition of Meet the Press, where she was grilled by Kristen Welker.

The NBC News career of Ronna McDaniel, the former head of the Republican National Committee, has been ended before it had ever truly begun.
NBC News said Tuesday that it would cut ties with McDaniel after a phalanx of popular anchors rebelled against a decision to make her a political contributor who would offer commentary through the 2024 presidential election. NBC News executives had hoped to gain new insight to the thinking of the modern Republican party, but NBC News journalists could not stomach the prospect of putting McDaniel on air after she had helped former President Donald Trump in his efforts to undermine the integrity of the 2020 election, which was won by current officeholder Joe Biden.

Rachel Maddow, the biggest star on MSNBC, has weighed in on the controversial decision by NBC News to hire Ronna McDaniel as an on-air contributor.
Toward the tail end of an extended monologue about the history of American fascists from the 1930s and 1940s, Maddow ripped into the hiring as “inexplicable.”
“I mean, you wouldn’t hire a wiseguy, you wouldn’t hire a made man like a mobster to work at a Da’s office, right?” Maddow continued. “You wouldn’t hire a pickpocket to work as a Tsa screener. And so I find the decision to put her on the payroll, it’s inexplicable, and I hope they will reverse their decision.
“I want to associate myself with all my colleagues both at MSNBC and at NBC News,” Maddow added, “who have voiced loud and principled objections to our company putting on the payroll, someone who hasn’t just attacked us as journalists,...

A long line of MSNBC’s most popular anchors spent Monday calling out the network’s corporate sibling, NBC News, for its hire of former Republican National Committee chair Ronna McDaniel in a stunning display of internal rifts laid bare on the TV screen.
The hire of McDaniel as a contributor is “inexplicable,” Rachel Maddow said on MSNBC Monday night as part of a half-hour commercial-free monologue that painted the former politico as one in a line of fascists and would-be usurpers who have tried to take over America’s political process. McDaniel, who during her time as RNC head helped former President Donald Trump in his efforts to nullify the 2020 presidential election, said Maddow, “is part of an ongoing project to get rid of our system of government.”

Ronna McDaniel was supposed to be the new star contributor at NBC News. Now her position there is looking increasingly untenable.
NBC News hired the former Republican National Committee chief last week, betting that her recent access to the Trump campaign and Republican politicians would make her a valuable analyst as the 2024 election cycle intensified. But in recent days, her ability to do just that seems unclear. On Monday, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski suggested on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that NBC News reconsider its hire. A day earlier, Chuck Todd took to “Meet The Press” to chastise NBC News bosses for making moderator Kristen Welker conduct a news interview she had previously booked with McDaniel now that she was a paid operative of NBC and potentially less able to respond truthfully to hard questions.
It seems very likely that her position at NBC will remain in the news for the immediate future.

Former President Donald Trump was criticized by his own former vice president, Mike Pence, for saluting prisoners who participated in the January 6 Capitol riot and calling them “hostages” during the introduction of his Dayton, Ohio campaign rally.
“Ladies and gentlemen, please rise for the horribly and unfairly treated January 6th hostages,” the moderator of the rally on March 16 stated over the loudspeaker.
Trump raised his right hand and saluted as the “January 6 Choir” sang the “Star Spangled Banner.” The choir is composed of Proud Boys, Oath Keepers and others imprisoned for helping to advance the failed insurrection.
The rally started with the Pledge of Allegiance recited by January 6 defendants serving time in the Washington, D.C., jail.
“You see the spirit from the hostages, and that’s what they are: hostages,” Trump claimed at the rally. “They’ve been treated terribly and very unfairly. And you know that and everybody knows that.

On the latest Curb Your Enthusiasm episode, Larry David (the character) is accused of being the anonymous writer of a letter griping about his Los Angeles country club. The letter, which is posted to the locker room bulletin board, is signed “Disgruntled” and grabs the attention of the club’s owner, Mr. Takahashi (Dana Lee), who happens to have a long-standing feud with Larry.
It makes sense that Larry would be assumed to be the so-called Disgruntled member. In this episode — the fourth in the final season, titled “Disgruntled” — Larry, who is enjoying newfound fame as a political national hero after his premiere episode visit to Georgia, gets under the skin of several members of the club’s staff when he complains about breakfast not being served after 11 a.m., brings his own bread and his own eggs to the kitchen, and then accuses the chef of not using his home-brought eggs.

[This story contains spoilers from the second episode of season 12 of Curb Your Enthusiasm, “The Lawn Jockey.”]
When Curb Your Enthusiasm’s Larry David gave Auntie Rae (played by Ellia English) a glass of water while she was waiting in line to vote, the TV character (played by David) didn’t know there was a Georgia law against doing so. Which means he didn’t intend to be hailed as a local hero or become a “liberal darling” — or get praised by the likes of Stacey Abrams and Bruce Springsteen on national news.
But that’s exactly what happened in the second episode of season 12 — Curb’s final season — which picked back up in Atlanta after the season premiere ended with Larry’s arrest (and a mugshot that bore similarities to former President Donald Trump’s 2023 Georgia arrest photo).

CNN is turning some of the lights out on its efforts to produce morning news.
The network is revamping its entire A.M. schedule as the Warner Bros. Discovery-based cable news outlet continues to grapple with poor ratings.
Poppy Harlow and Phil Mattingly, who co-anchor “CNN This Morning,” will leave the line-up, while Kasie Hunt’s early-morning program will take on an extra hour. Her show, “Early Start,” will run from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m., and will take on the “CNN This Morning” title. CNN will then move “CNN News Central,” anchored by John Berman, Kate Bolduan and Sara Sidner, to a 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. slot, with Jim Acosta and Pamela Brown taking over new hours at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Jamie Lee Curtis is celebrating a personal milestone.
The Oscar-winning actress took to Instagram on Saturday to mark being “clean and sober” for 25 years.
“One day at a time. 9,125 of them,” Curtis wrote. “What’s inside, as my old friend Adam sang, is a sense of calm, serenity, purpose and the greatest feeling that I am not alone. That many others share the same disease and solution.”
She also shared a photo of her holding up a ring that featured the words, “Jlc Twenty Five,” and added in the caption, “For all those struggling with addiction and shame, there are others out here who care. My hand in yours. Our hands in yours. Xo Jlc.”
The Everything Everywhere All at Once star has previously been open about her past battle with opioid addiction. She recalled on MSNBC’s Morning Joe in July that her “worst day was almost invisible to anyone else.

The incomparable Larry David has never been one to shy away from a bit of self-promotion. And this week’s run-up to the 12th and (allegedly) final season of his long-running HBO comedy, Curb Your Enthusiasm, has been no exception. In fact, from throttling a beloved Muppet to tanking a cringe-inducing interview at his own premiere event, you might say that this time, L.D. has outdone himself. Here’s a look at his wild media appearances ahead of season 12 of the Emmy-winning hit.
Larry vs. Elmo
I don’t think anything like Man Throttles Muppet on Morning Television was an anticipated headline this week. But, well, here we are, after David just couldn’t take Elmo’s take on the importance of maintaining mental health anymore. The high-pitched little monster, whose innocent social media post early this week somehow made him an unwitting focal point of our national malaise,...

The MSNBC and CNBC morning shows will continue to be available on demand on Peacock.
As streaming continues to grow and evolve, major media companies are continually experimenting with how to dole out titles from across their vast programming portfolios. In some cases, those moves stick and become cornerstones of individual platforms, while others come and go for various reasons — only some of which having to do with viewership metrics. One of the more difficult programming genres to translate effectively to streaming has been news. While still one of the primary drivers for pay-tv subscriptions, news has not yet experienced the robust transition to streaming that live sports has, at least not in the form that viewers are used to seeing it on broadcast and cable television. In response to the claim that Joe Biden‘s advanced age is an asset to his presidency, First Lady Jill Biden has faced a strong backlash across social media.
At 81, Biden is the oldest sitting president in U.S. history, and concerns about his decision to seek another term have been raised by voters. In an interview on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Jill, 72, responded to these concerns: “I believe his age is an asset…He possesses wisdom and extensive experience.”
She continued to emphasize the president’s knowledge of world leaders and history and asserted that his thoughtful decision-making makes him the right candidate for the job at this critical moment in America.
Jill defended her husband’s capabilities and highlighted his commitment to his duties beyond the public eye.
“His job doesn’t end when we have dinner together at 7 p.m.,” she explained. “He’s on the phone,...

Networks are heavily promoting their night of Iowa caucus coverage, with reporters fanned out across the state and, throughout the day on Monday, anchors doing their best to stir up excitement in the waiting game before voting actually begins.
But as large as the investment is for broadcast and cable networks, the coverage is facing heavy competition on the night of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Fox has the Emmys, and ABC has what is likely to draw the biggest audience, the NFL playoff game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Broadcast networks are sticking to their regular schedules with the possibility of news updates, leaving the ongoing coverage to their streaming and cable channels.

Update: Joe Biden’s reelection campaign raised almost $100 million in the most recent quarter, helped in part by a huge haul during a Los Angeles fundraising swing in December.
The campaign said that it raised more than $97 million for the campaign and the Democratic party during the October to December time frame. That exceeds the amount raised in the second and third quarters of 2023, when around $72 million was raised in each of those time frames.
The Biden campaign also said that it had $117 million in cash on hand, the highest by any Democratic candidate at this point in the cycle.

President Joe Biden’s granddaughter, Naomi Biden, the daughter of Hunter Biden, confronted Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) on Wednesday when she accused the lawmaker of spreading misinformation when her father appeared at a House hearing.
Hunter made an unexpected appearance at a House Oversight and Accountability Committee markup on Wednesday, where the committee proceeded to move forward with a resolution to hold him in contempt of Congress for when he allegedly defied a subpoena issued in December. Tensions flared upon Hunter’s presence, as he briefly remained in the room while Republicans and Democrats engaged in heated exchanges before he departed with his entourage while Greene was mid-speech.
This prompted Greene to later post on X, “Wow – Hunter Biden fled the scene when I started exposing the truth behind the Biden Crime Family. Too bad his daddy can’t save him this time. We have mountains of evidence of...

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Florida) fired shots at former President Donald Trump and Fox News regarding Trump’s recent town hall appearance on the network this week.
The discussion on Morning Joe began with a clip of Trump in his town hall on Fox, where he declared, “Florida did shut down. Ron DeSantis shut down, or as he’s known, Ron Desanctimonious. He shut his state down very violently, actually, and shut the highways down the roads down.”
Host Joe Scarborough then questioned the accuracy of Trump’s statement and recalled Trump’s past criticism of DeSantis when he didn’t push stricter measures to combat the pandemic.
In response, DeSantis called out Trump’s reliance on Dr. Anthony Fauci. “They were running commercials in October of 2020 for his reelection, bragging that he followed everything Fauci said. And then when Fauci, Donald Trump’s last day in office, he gave Fauci a commendation.

On Jan. 13, MSNBC will roll out its new take on a weekend morning show: The Weekend.
Co-hosted by Symone Sanders-Townsend, Alicia Menendez, and Michael Steele, the program was announced late last year as part of an overhaul of the cable channel’s weekend lineup. Originating from Washington D.C. and running from 8-10 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, MSNBC is betting that The Weekend can deliver for its regular viewers what Morning Joe does on weekday mornings: A more casual, conversational look at the news, with some original reporting and interviews thrown in for good measure.
The Hollywood Reporter caught up with Menendez, Steele and Symone-Townsend last week to discuss what they have planned.
To start, I’d love hear each of your thoughts on what your goals are with the show and the perspective that you hope to bring to the weekend morning time period and and also...

Technical issues sent MSNBC on a Tuesday-morning scramble.
The NBCUniversal-backed cable news outlet was forced to run more than ten minutes of promos and ads and a snippet of a repeat from Lawrence O’Donnell’s primetime show just after 6 a.m. as engineers and staffers grappled with an as-yet-unknown glitch that kept “Morning Joe” from coming on the air at its usual time. Finally, “Morning Joe” co-anchor Mika Brzezinski surfaced on air at about 6:11 a.m. to kick off the program and apologize for the delay.
“Thanks for bearing with us, everybody,” Brzezinski. Viewers had initially seen a shot of the U.S. Capitol at the top of the hour along with some of the strains of The Who’s seminal rock song “Baba O’Riley.”
MSNBC declined to comment. Jonathan Lemire, the anchor of the 5 a.m. program, “Way Too Early,” cited “technical difficulties” via a post on the social-media platform X.

“Killers of the Flower Moon” has been named best picture by the National Board of Review, the organization announced on Wednesday.
Co-distributed by Apple Original Films and Paramount Pictures, the crime epic also nabbed prizes for director Martin Scorsese and actress Lily Gladstone. Scorsese’s win for directing is notable, as he is now tied with legendary filmmaker David Lean with four wins, the most of any director in NBR history. Interestingly, NBR has the least translation to an Oscar winner of all the major categories, the last being Scorsese for “The Departed” (2006).
Over the last 30 years, the winner of NBR’s best film has typically gone on to receive an Oscar nomination for best picture, except for once every decade — 2014’s “A Most Violent Year,” 2000’s “Quills” and 1998’s “Gods and Monsters.” In the 1980s, there were technically two misses with 1987’s “Empire of the Sun” and 1983’s “Betrayal,...

Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav gave former CNN chief Chris Licht a warm endorsement, even hinting at the possibility that the TV news vet could work again with the company.
Licht is a “great guy, talented guy,” Zaslav said at the New York Times DealBook Summit at Jazz at Lincoln Center, as Licht sat in the audience. The exec was ousted from CNN last June after a tumultuous run capped by a damning profile in The Atlantic. Weeks before the WarnerMedia-Discovery merger closed in April 2022, Zaslav had chosen Licht to head up CNN, reportedly without having conducted a robust search process. The two had been personally acquainted before the hiring.
“Chris is a good friend,” Zaslav said. As to their parting ways, he added, “That was … look, there are a lot of good days and a lot of tough days. Chris has had a lot of great days.
Licht is a “great guy, talented guy,” Zaslav said at the New York Times DealBook Summit at Jazz at Lincoln Center, as Licht sat in the audience. The exec was ousted from CNN last June after a tumultuous run capped by a damning profile in The Atlantic. Former President Donald Trump acknowledged that he has used ex-President Barack Obama‘s name instead of President Joe Biden seven times during his rallies and past interviews in the past two months.
He insisted that he was not confused but that he did this on purpose and was being sarcastic.
Trump took to Truth Social to clarify, “Whenever I sarcastically insert the name Obama for Biden as an indication that others may actually be having a very big influence in running our Country, Ron DeSanctimonious and his failing campaign apparatus, together with the Democrat’s Radical Left ‘Disinformation Machine,’ go wild saying that ‘Trump doesn’t know the name of our President, (Crooked!) Joe Biden. He must be cognitively impaired.’ No, I know both names very well, never mix them up, and know that they are destroying our Country.”
He also shared that he took a cognitive test and...

Rep. Gregory Meeks expressed fear Tuesday that in addressing the ongoing Israel-Hamas War, “people have forgotten or are not talking any longer” about the Oct. 7 terrorist attack on Israeli civilians.
“We’ve got to go after Hamas,” the Democrat from New York told “Morning Joe” hosts Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski and Jonathan Lemire. He noted that as concerns over Israel’s military response in Gaza this last month grow, Israelis understand “the difference between the Palestinians and Hamas, but people are not talking about Hamas enough and the tragedies that they have done and continue to do.”
Meeks’ assessment came after his return to Washington, D.C. from Israel, where as a ranking member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, he helped lead a bipartisan congressional delegation to Israel where lawmakers met with Israel’s leaders and got a private screening of graphic footage from Hamas’ attack.

Donald Trump’s campaign is defending the former president’s use of the word “vermin” to describe his opponents and detractors after receiving backlash for echoing a term used by brutal authoritarian dictators like Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini.
“We pledge to you that we will root out the communists, Marxists, fascists, and the radical-left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country that lie and steal and cheat on elections,” Trump said in a Veterans Day speech on Saturday after using the term in a social-media post earlier that same day.

Amid the mounting tragedy in the Middle East, Fox News and CNN are the early winners in the cable network ratings battle, flexing their on-the-ground foreign reporting muscles, while MSNBC suffered a fall-off at the beginning of the conflict from which it has yet to recover.
In the immediate aftermath of the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas terrorists in Israel, in which they massacred over 1,400 Israeli citizens, all three cable news channels saw viewership boosts of varying degrees, but Fox and CNN saw the main benefit.
From Oct. 9 to Oct. 15, Fox News scored 1.57 million average total viewers, a 22% increase from the week of Oct. 7. MSNBC secured second place with 766,000 viewers, a 20% decrease for the network from the week prior. CNN came in third, drawing 681,000 viewers, a 13% improvement for the network, according to Nielsen.

MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” host Mika Brzezinski analyzed the Israel-Palestine tension on college campuses Monday with guest Richard Haass, a U.S. diplomat who pointed out the decline in safety amid rising animosity between college students.
“This is outrageous what is going on, and the universities are clearly failing educationally and they are clearly failing in their obligations to make students feel safe,” Haass said in video you can watch below. “We hear all this talk Mika about safe spaces. Well, what’s happening on these campuses? These have become truly unsafe spaces. Kids are feeling pressure, they’re feeling intimidated, physically threatened. There’s something seriously wrong on our campuses.”

Anti-Defamation League director Jonathan Greenblatt took a moment out of his interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” to directly call out the cable news network for its coverage of the recent Hamas attacks in Israel, which killed more than 700 people and sparked fighting that has left more than 1,200 dead across Israel, Gaza and the West Bank.
“While I am sad and trying to cope, I’ll be honest: I am angry. I am angry with the world that allowed the dehumanization of Israelis and sanitized the terrorism of Hamas,” Greenblatt said (via Mediaite). “I must say I love this show, and I love this network, but I’ve got to ask, who’s writing the scripts? Hamas?”
Greenblatt then directly addressed “Morning Joe” host Jonathan Lemire, telling him that the Hamas members “who did this, they are not fighters, they are not militants. And I’m looking right at the camera: They are terrorists.

Updated, Monday 12:06 p.m. Pt: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tried to prepare his country for a long war, saying in a televised speech that “this battle will not end until we end and eliminate our enemy.”
“The pictures that you see from Hamas are just the beginning. We have killed many of those fighters. Every place where Hamas is active and working will be completely destroyed.”
Portions of the speech were carried on major cable news networks, with translation. CNN featured a split screen of Netanyahu and network correspondent Hadas Gold translating for viewers.
“We all want results right here, right now, but it will take some time,” Netanyahu said. “But I promise you dear citizens: At the end of the war, all of our enemies will know it was a terrible mistake to attack Israel.”

Amid the flurry of breaking news coverage of the attacks on Israel, Jonathan Greenblatt, national director and CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, appeared on MSNBC to critique the way the network, as well as some others in media, have depicted the conflict.
Appearing on Morning Joe on Monday, Greenblatt — a frequent guest on cable news who heads the organization fighting against antisemitism across the world — spoke out against the way the show was describing the Palestinian militant group Hamas and the attacks as “an escalation” of a geopolitical conflict.
