When it comes to DC’s Animated Universe, there are barely any shows and movies that don’t receive praise with My Adventures with Superman being no exception to this either. Every iteration of the scarlet caped hero has been driven by some criticism alongside acknowledgement. Whether it is with Henry Cavill, Tyler Hoechlin, or Tom Welling; each and every one of them have their fair share of pros and cons.

With the second season also in swing, there are many ways in which the show excels in representing the story of not just Superman and Lois but also Clark Kent and Lois. As of late, another character has joined the party and she holds an uncanny resemblance to a Dragon Ball character one cannot turn a blind eye to.

I’ve always wanted to get an anime tattoo, and not just for the aesthetic. Tattoos are a way to wear your weebdom on your literal and proverbial sleeve. A profound intersection of one's body, identity and fandom, anime tattoos declare, "This is who I am and what I love.” They are conversation pieces that bypass small talk and instead cut to the beating heart of your personal narrative. Sharing the meaning behind anime ink can spark an instant connection between strangers, providing gateways to the community. Anime tattoos are also tangible representations of one's identity, beliefs, experiences, and connections. A little wriggly tattoo of Crayon Shin-chan's titular character in a Shiro costume evokes the joy of childhood. A tattoo featuring a bloody and smiling Rengoku from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba with the caption, “Set your heart ablaze,” serves as a reminder to channel the indomitable spirit of...

Split-screen gameplay has always been a staple of the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi franchise, but fans are on the brink of kissing them goodbye. With several leaks suggesting the feature will be gone with the latest installment of the game, it appears like the latest change spotted by a fan may confirm the fact.

When the Dragon Ball franchise came out with the news that the new phase of the series, Dragon Ball Super, would be illustrated by Akira Toriyama’s prodigy, Toyotarou, fans were a little confused. Dragon Ball began serialization in 1984 and has received numorous sequels and spinoffs like Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, and Dragon Ball Kai. You can only imagine how many new characters have been introduced in its decades-long run before Toyotarou joined the crew.
When such a plethora of characters get included in a series, it’s only natural that some of them would be forgotten after a while. However, one particularly intriguing character has resurfaced in the mind of Toyotarou.

A character’s design becomes their defining quality in most cases of anime, Goku being one of the biggest examples. Akira Toriyama took his time in building each and every character of Dragon Ball. Whether they were a minor character or a major one, it was in his heart and soul to bring forth his best ideas on paper.
Kid Goku
Some of the biggest design changes also followed very elaborate thoughts. No change is made without rhyme or reason. As such, the thought put into every step also makes it even more valuable. One of Goku’s most striking features in the earlier draft was his tail. However, that too was taken away. That tail was a more condensed form of Toriyama’s initial design.

"Haikyuu!!" is one of the biggest anime in the world right now and certainly the biggest sports one — and it's easy to see why. This is the perfect gateway into sports anime, and a show that may make you fall in love with volleyball (even if you have never watched a second of volleyball) thanks to its sense of camaraderie, compelling and memorable characters, and ability to make any volleyball match seem like the most exciting life-or-death game in the world.
After four seasons of high school boys playing volleyball and making audiences emotional, "Haikyuu!!" is heading to its conclusion, with the Karasuno High School Volleyball Club facing the lights and finishing their final tournament together before the seniors graduate. To bring the story to a close, we're getting feature films that finish off the story, much like "The First Slam Dunk" did 30 years after the anime ended.

Dragon Ball Gt is often not as popular as Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super. Despite it introducing a whole different ballgame of multiple timelines, fans consider it a somewhat less sophisticated version of the franchise.
Because the story was not created by Akira Toriyama, its authenticity is often under scrutiny. One of the most famous scenes in the anime is the Super Saiyan 4 power-up attained by Goku.

Fans believe that one Dragon Ball character had a lot of potential that went unexplored. Maybe Akira Toriyama killed him off too quickly, or maybe it was necessary for the plot; it’s hard to say when it comes to this proud character.
However, the Saiyan blood running in him held a chance of greatness just like Vegeta and Goku. Yes, the subject of discussion is Raditz, the arrogant brother of Goku, who was gotten rid of in Dragon Ball Z.

Many fans consider Raditz’s death too early in Dragon Ball. If he had stayed, he could have become Goku’s ally in the long run. When he arrived on Earth, he was stronger than Goku and wanted to recruit him for Frieza’s army. But he was killed in the span of a few chapters.

For ages, Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball manga and anime series has been praised by its fans for its superior storytelling, and featuring the classic elements of a shonen series. The show has been consistent as it showcases the relentless pursuit of self-development with its characters. What started as an idea, now stands tall as one of the most popular franchises of all time.
Future Gohan
While the characters present in the show come from different backgrounds, one thing unites them, and that is the loss of their close ones. Popular characters like Goku, Vegeta, Bardock, Broly, and even Yamcha have tragic stories. However, none of the grieving sagas could come close to Future Gohan’s as Toriyama-Sensei has developed him out of pure torment and mourning for his beloved ones.

Akira Toriyama is guilting of nerfing Vegeta excessively in Dragon Ball, just to make Goku the savior. But there is one last hope that the mangaka is simply bidding his time to give Vegeta the boost of a lifetime.
A fan theory suggests one way in which Vegeta could surpass Goku, and it involves a dormant Saiyan ability that has not been mentioned in forever.
The Disappearance of Zenkai Boost from Dragon Ball
Vegeta’s Super Saiyan 2 Enraged | Dragon Ball Z
Dragon Ball explains that the Zenkai boost is a latent ability in Saiyans that can be passed down to hybrids as well. This ability is portrayed a lot towards the beginning of the series, as Goku and Vegeta gain double the power once they manage to recover after a beating.
This is why the Saiyans always returned to fight no matter how hard they were just beaten. Before his battle with Frieza,...

Akira Toriyama has given a lot of thought to his magnum opus, the Dragon Ball series where he tells the story with his mighty and lovable protagonist, Son-Goku. Throughout the series’ run, the character has continuously surprised us as he pushed beyond his physical limits and showcased to the fans what it means to break past your limits. Such was the case when he transformed into Super Saiyan for the very first time.

If the '90s had the surprise hit "Dragon Ball Z," the '00s had "Naruto," and the 2010s had "Attack on Titan," then the 2020s unequivocally belong to "Demon Slayer." The manga by Koyuharu Gotouge and its anime adaptation by studio Ufotable took the world by storm the moment they debuted, with the manga becoming one of the best-selling ever, while the anime became an instant hit. The first film, "Demon Slayer: Mugen Train," overcame Hayao Miyazaki's classic "Spirited Away" to become the highest-grossing Japanese film ever in Japan and the highest-grossing film of 2020 worldwide.
Even its subsequent movies, which are literally just compilations of previously-released season finales plus the first episode of the following season, have made some serious cash, leading us to dub the latest movie, "To the Hashira Training," as a savior of cinema at a time when the box office desperately needed help. Goku might be one of the strongest Shonen protagonists, with enough power to blow up planets, but he is majorly lacking in another walk of life. While he is a strong and reliable fighter in Dragon Ball, his skills as a parent and husband are doubtful.
Goku’s Saiyan rival from the same franchise is much better at parenting than he is. Akira Toriyama always nerfs Vegeta in battles, but he is a loving husband to Bulma and a stellar father to Trunks and Bulla.
As it turns out, Goku’s shocking ignorance of his children stems from his Saiyan identity.

Goku’s status as an all-time absent father in Dragon Ball is no surprise. He is far more interested in battles than he is in his marriage and children. In fact, Chi Chi ended up nourishing their children alone most of the times.
On the other hand, Vegeta adores and respects Bulma and develops puppy eyes for his wife and children. Thus, a fan theory suggests that Chi Chi might not have been faithful in her relationship, and had a child with the other Saiyan in the story.
Goku and Chi-Chi had an Unhappy Marriage in Dragon Ball
It is a well-known fact that while Goku is a stellar fighter, he is not the best husband. In fact, he might be the worst person to marry. Goku and Chi Chi are rarely seen enjoying their married life in Dragon Ball. Even when they are together, they bicker due to Goku’s lack of responsibility.

As Knocked Loose has grown in prominence, they’ve become more unapologetically themselves. Viral sets at Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Reading & Leeds scored massive wins for a scene that has long been considered one of outsiders. With their brand new album, You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To , the band brings their punishing form of hardcore/metalcore into the mainstream. In many ways, their journey mirrors that of anime’s rise to prominence. No one embodies these analogous journeys more than guitarist Nicko Calderon, whose creative voice, both figuratively and quite literally, can be heard throughout the new album’s aggressive 27-minute run time. We spoke with Calderon on the eve of the album’s release to learn more about how anime has impacted his songwriting style, his love of Flcl and The Pillows, and the extremes of anime and heavy music. When Akira Toriyama decided to make Broly a part of the canon series in 2018, after a standalone film, fans of the series were thrilled as the character was quite popular in the franchise. Though the character has been only part of three films in the past, its popularity is immense and it can even rival someone from the canon series.
Broly in The Legendary Super Saiyan Form
The Saiyan was originally introduced as a villain in the franchise, but has now joined the Z-Fighters and is training on Lord Beerus’ planet like fans saw in Dragon Ball Super: Super Heroes. However, Toriyama-Sensei did not decide to introduce the anti-hero because he was popular in the fandom. This is so because Broly can be solely responsible for bringing back Kakarot’s SSJ4 transformation from Dragon Ball Gt, which was lost as a non-canon form.

Akira Toriyama was considered a father figure in the manga and anime industry due to the creation of the Dragon Ball franchise. It is one of the most popular franchises worldwide and paved the way for the Western countries for the modern generation of anime. He began the serialization of Dragon Ball in 1984 and since then has been an active member of the franchise.
Even though he earned worldwide fame and his magnum opus is regarded as one of the greatest of all time, it was not an easy journey for the mangaka. He had to face several complexities, including his physical and mental conditions to reach the end. Fans would be shocked to know the conditions under which he had to write the chapters and will have a newfound respect for the late great mangaka.
